Dr. Maria Encarnacion, MD is an internal medicine physician whose specialty is addiction psychiatry. Dr. Encarnacion has been serving as the medical and clinical director for the Life Center of Galax since 1993. Prior to joining the Life Center of Galax, she served as a full-time physician for the Virginia Tech Student Medical Center. She is certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine as an addictionologist.

Dr. Napoleon Cuenco, MD has been serving as the psychiatrist for the Life Center of Galax since 1995. Dr. Cuenco was previously employed as the behavioral health unit psychiatrist at the Twin County Regional Hospital and currently serves with the Mount Rogers Community Services Board. Dr. Cuenco is board-certified in child, adolescent & adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.
Life Center of Galax has been a leading treatment center for men and women with drug addiction and alcohol recovery for 40+ years.

Kathy Kirkland began her career at the Life Center of Galax in 1987. She was promoted to chief financial officer in 1999. Ms. Kirkland graduated from Wytheville Community College in 1996 and holds and associate of applied science degree in accounting.

Pam Fredericks joined the Life Center of Galax team in 2008 and was promoted to human resources manager in 2015. Ms. Fredericks graduated from Emmanuel College with an associate of secretarial science degree in 1978.
