Carmin Gade - CMO

Biography Carmin Gade, PhD, is the Chief Marketing Officer of WCG where she is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and prioritization for all marketing efforts to support the company's growth, achievement of business development objectives, differentiated market position, and internal and external communications. Having more than 25 years' experience as a senior leader and educator, Carmin's efforts are instrumental in strengthening WCG's global market positioning, accelerating growth, and optimizing performance through the development, management, and retention of high-performing teams. Carmin joined WCG from CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society where she led all aspects of communications, brand, enterprise marketing, and sales enablement with a focus on advancing the CAS mission through strengthening the CAS brand, increasing stakeholder engagement, and driving revenue growth globally. Spending her career in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry, Carmin also served as Chief Experience Officer at MedVet, Senior Director of Global Strategic Initiatives and Director of Marketing and Sales Excellence at Mylan, and Chief Marketing Communications Officer and Director of Brand and Technology Communications at Battelle. She also held leadership positions in global communications and business development throughout her tenure at Cardinal Health. Maintaining a deep passion and value for education and inspiring excellence, Carmin has remained active in higher education as an adjunct faculty member in Capital University's MBA program. She earned her PhD and master's degrees from The Ohio State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University.

David Forster - Chief Compliance Officer

Biography David Forster, JD, MA, CIP, is the Chief Compliance Officer of WCG. A strong advocate for human subject protections, David co-chairs the Secretary's Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections (SACHRP) Sub-Committee on Harmonization. He previously served a four-year term as a member of SACHRP and was previously a member of the SACHRP Sub-Committee on Inclusion of Individuals with Impaired Decision-Making in Research. David has also served on the Certified IRB Professional (CIP) Council. David holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a master's in medical ethics from the University of Washington.

Dawn Sauro

Biography Dawn Sauro serves as the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) at WCG Clinical where she is responsible for the company's enterprise growth and commercialization strategy to drive sustainable and profitable growth and revenue. Representing the voice of the customer throughout WCG, Dawn works with WCG's world-class sales and marketing teams in an aligned go-to-market model that leads with exceptional science, innovation, and delivery. Having more than 30 years of drug and device development experience, Dawn is an experienced drug development and clinical research expert, strategist, and leader who leverages her extensive industry experience and client relationships to consistently deliver on aggressive top- and bottom-line growth. Prior to joining WCG, Dawn served as Elligo's Chief Operating Officer (COO) where she helped to further the company's growth, efficiency, and mission of optimizing the intersection of healthcare and research through direct access to patients, new technology, and custom research practice management solutions. Dawn was also the Chief Development Officer at Clinipace Clinical Research (now Caidya) where she developed the strategy and grew the organization to be a trusted partner for sponsors, delivering clinical trials across a variety of therapeutic areas. Prior roles also included President, Development Innovations at Sarah Cannon where she led the full-service Oncology CRO and Senior Vice President and General Manager, Hematology/Oncology at inVentiv Health (now Syneos). Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island.

Jared Zane - Chief Legal Officer, Secretary

Biography Jared Zane is the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of WCG, where he leads the legal function and is responsible for all legal affairs of the company. Jared brings to the role more than 15 years of law-firm and in-house experience, with multinational public companies and private-equity backed enterprises. He is known as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to executives and directors on a broad range of corporate matters, including governance, M&A, intellectual property, and commercial negotiations. Prior to WCG, Jared served as Deputy General Counsel at Nouryon, a global special chemicals leader. His prior in-house experience also includes roles at Axalta Coating Systems and The Dow Chemical Company. He began his legal career in the corporate group of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia, where he represented numerous healthcare and pharma companies on significant corporate transactions. Jared holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering and Economics from the University of Virginia and a law degree from Duke University School of Law.

Jill Johnston

Biography As Chief Innovation Officer, Jill is responsible for driving innovation and integration across the enterprise. She works across the organization to identify, share, and scale the best ideas. Additionally, she is responsible for business transformation and strategy to research and explore new technologies, processes, and solutions for clients. Jill is a seasoned leader in the Pharmaceutical Services sector where she most recently served as president of WCG's Study Planning and Site Solutions. She also was vice president, Clinical Strategy at Veeva Systems and a variety of roles over 25 years with Covance including global vice president of Business Transformation. Jill began her career at Covance where she has personally been responsible for leading clinical study teams of pivotal Phase II and III clinical trials in the therapeutic areas of oncology, cardiovascular, metabolic and neurology. Jill has been recognized for her contributions to the industry, receiving several awards for her leadership and achievements, including the Covance Excellence in Process award and the Chairman's Award twice in her tenure. She holds several certifications, including Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Project Management, and Certified Clinical Research Associate. She was also a founding member and Chapter President for the Association for Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) in Philadelphia for several years. Jill holds a BSc in Biology from SUNY - Environmental Science and Forestry and is an instructor for clinical monitoring at Mercer County College, supporting Drexel University's Clinical Development Master program. She was previously the founding president of the ACRP Chapter in the Greater Philadelphia area and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Lisa Calicchio - SVP

Biography Lisa Calicchio, SPHR, is senior vice president and Chief Human Capital Management Officer for WCG. Lisa oversees WCG's human capital management strategy and operations, including recruiting, managing, developing, retaining and engaging talent. Her nearly three decades of global business experience - with more than 20 years as a Human Resources leader across a diverse array of companies - helps ensure WCG's human capital strategies position the company to lead the industry. She is relentlessly focused on turning talent into performance to drive business results and make organizations work better. Lisa joined WCG from GAF. Prior to GAF, she spent several years at Wyndham Worldwide, one of the world's largest hospitality companies. Lisa spent much of her career in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, working for Covance, Johnson & Johnson, and Merck across a variety of operations, sales, and human resources roles. Her experience in human capital management includes extensive focus on human capital management strategy and operations, recruiting, M&A, total rewards, employee relations and communications, shared services, and business strategy. Lisa holds an MBA in HR Management from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Kean University. She is a faculty member of the Rutgers University Executive Education Program and serves as a volunteer director on the Board of Directors for JBWS, New Jersey's leading non-profit agency for the support of victims of domestic violence.

Mark McDonald

Biography Mark McDonald is the President of WCG's Review Solutions Division. Mark joined WCG in 2021 as Chief Operating Officer for the Review Solutions Division providing senior leadership guidance and support to IRB Operations, IRB Affairs, IBC Services, and EAC/DMC review services. Over the last 20 years Mark has led global engineering, project management, and operations teams through transformation at industry leading companies like Boston Scientific, Smiths Medical, and Medline. Mark is a strategic, innovative, and seasoned business leader with proven skills, gained through leadership of multi-disciplinary teams in the medical device, technology, food, and pharmaceutical industries. He enjoys and excels in leading organizations to the next level of performance all centered on mission, vision, and values. It is the legacy, mission, and vision of WCG IRB which has enticed Mark to join and work alongside our team as we continue that journey. Mark has a Bachelors in Engineering and Mathematics (BA BAI) from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters of Science in Global Health (MSGH) from Northwestern University. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Paul Mancinelli - CTO

Biography Paul Mancinelli, PhD, is the Chief Technology Officer of WCG where he leads technology overall, including infrastructure, software engineering, and application development across the organization to support WCG's strategy and enhance productivity, efficiency, and synergy throughout the enterprise. Paul previously served as Cigna's Chief Data and Analytics Engineering Officer where he was responsible for Cigna's enterprise authoritative data assets as well as the advanced analytics ecosystem and reporting solutions. Under Paul's leadership, the Data & Analytics Engineering team was a catalyst for the use of Big Data, Machine Learning and Open Source technologies in support of Cigna's Personalization and Affordability strategies. Paul also served as Vice President of IT Data and Analytics leading Cigna's Data and Analytics software engineering team and was Informatics Senior Director leading Information Management in IT since starting at Cigna in 2014. He also served as a board member of the Gartner Data & Analytics Research Board. Prior to joining Cigna, Paul served as Chief Technology Officer at CoreOne Technologies in New York, where he was responsible for enterprise software development, technical support, operations, corporate IT, and information security. Prior to that, Paul served as Global Head, Research and Development Data/Systems/Tradebook at Bloomberg L.P where he worked for more than 16 years. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a PhD in Astrophysics from the State University of New York Stony Brook.

Sam Srivastava - CEO

Biography Sam Srivastava is the CEO of WCG. He is a transformative health care executive with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation in health care delivery. Sam has a passion to deliver better healthcare and is committed to leading with compassion. Prior to WCG, he served as the CEO of NeueHealth and COO for Bright Health, leading strategy, development, integration, and operations. Before joining NeueHealth, Sam served as CEO at Magellan Healthcare, a leading behavioral, specialty and pharmacy management company serving 50 million customers worldwide. During his tenure, the company diversified, doubled in size, launched the nation's first health plan for the seriously mentally ill, and developed digital therapeutics and advanced illness care programs. Prior to Magellan, Sam worked at Cigna where he was president of the national employer and Medicare businesses. He also led US strategy and business development, that included the strategic acquisition of HealthSpring and launch of Cigna Ventures. Sam has also held executive positions leading the Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid businesses at UnitedHealth Group. He has also served as a management consultant in the US and Europe, developing risk-based integrated delivery systems for providers, insurers, and governments. Sam serves as the advisory council chairman of the Yale School of Public Health, as well as board director for the Recovery Centers of America. He is a frequent national speaker and has testified to Congress regarding the opioid crisis aiding in the passage of the bipartisan SUPPORT act. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in medical science and humanities from Kent State University and completed graduate work at Yale University in health care management.

Terri Moench

Biography Terri Moench, RPh, MS, is the president of WCG's Research Solutions. Terri joined WCG in 2019 as general manager of MedAvante-ProPhase and served as president of Patient Engagement, overseeing WCG's MedAvante-ProPhase, Analgesic Solutions, and ThreeWire. Prior to WCG, she served in multiple leadership roles with GE Healthcare. Terri is an innovative, forward-thinking professional with extensive experience in the specialty pharmaceutical arena. She has held global roles as a business segment leader and product leader as well as U.S. roles in positions such as Service Business Leader, Commercial Operations, Sales, Marketing and Pharmacy Management. She has a proven track record of success in guiding organizations to achieve optimal profit through swiftly changing technical and business conditions. Terri is a Pharmacist with a Master of Science in Nuclear Pharmacy.
