Corey E. Dunbar

Corey E. Dunbar is a partner with the firm focusing on litigation in both federal and state courts. Whether handling large business disputes or small personal matters, Corey advises clients of the most efficient procedure to obtain the desired outcome in any dispute. Corey has tried cases in the federal courts of the Eastern District of Louisiana and the Southern District of Texas, as well as local state courts. Corey has argued before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal and handled numerous appeals in both federal and state appeals courts. In addition to his litigation experience, Corey assists clients in general business matters and transactional matters. Corey is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Jefferson Parish Bar Association, and the Plaquemines Bar Association (President 2014). He is also a member of the Federal Bar Association and has sat as a Director on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division of the New Orleans Chapter from 2007 to 2016. Corey is a Rotarian and Past President of the Rotary Club of the West Bank in Gretna, Louisiana. Corey currently serves as the Assistant District Governor for the Bayou Territory of Rotary District 6840. Corey lives in New Orleans with his wife and three children. He is also a parishioner and member of the Family Advisory Board at St. Dominic Church.

David M. Hufft

David Hufft is a partner with the firm whose practice focuses on family law, civil service, personal injury, successions, and criminal defense matters. He has successfully handled trials in both Louisiana state and Federal courts, including appearances before the Louisiana First, Fourth, and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeals and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. David is a former Assistant District Attorney for 28 years with the Plaquemines and Jefferson District Attorneys Offices. As a former prosecutor, David has extensive courtroom experience and an understanding of the criminal justice system. In addition to his time spent in the courtroom as a prosecutor, David has handled numerous family matters which have been brought to trial and court hearings. David is a member and former President of the Plaquemines Bar Association. David is also a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.

Eden Bubrig Tesvich

Eden joined the firm as an associate in 2019 after receiving her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. At Loyola, Eden served as a Student Practitioner in the Law Clinic, where she gained valuable district court experience, including court appearances and motion practice. As a Student Practitioner, Eden assisted with trial prosecutions, conducted client and witness interviews, prepared discovery, and drafted various pleadings and legal memoranda. Eden is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. She enjoys serving her community as an active volunteer for various organizations including the Belle Chasse Rotary Club and the Plaquemines Parish Fair and Orange Festival.

Ellen Pivach Dunbar

Ellen Pivach Dunbar is a partner with the firm, devoting much of her practice to business litigation and governmental representation. She has both trial and motion experience in Louisiana district courts, and has successfully argued before the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. Ellen also has experience handling substantive motions in the federal district courts of Louisiana, appellate briefs to the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal, and has appeared before the Louisiana Tax Commission on various property appeals. Ellen is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and the Plaquemines Parish Bar Association. Ellen also served as a Director of the Young Lawyers Division of the Federal Bar Association from 2008-2014.

George Pivach

George Pivach, II is a founding member of the firm with a legal career spanning over three decades of serving the people and businesses of Louisiana. He has successfully handled numerous trials and motions in Louisiana state and federal courts, including appearances before the Louisiana First, Third, Fourth and Fifth Circuits Court of Appeal and Louisiana Supreme Court. Outside of the courtroom, George has extensive experience in the area of commercial and business transactions, including real estate transactions, having represented a variety of businesses in the most complex negotiations within the Southeast United States. George also assists clients with their estate planning needs and has vast experience in the area of successions.

John E. Pivach

Mark A. Pivach

Mark A. Pivach is a founding partner of the Pivach firm, focusing on personal injury and maritime litigation in both federal and state courts for over 30 years. After receiving his undergraduate degree in finance in 1981, and his juris doctorate degree from Tulane University and becoming a member of the Louisiana bar in 1984, he has successfully practiced civil litigation over the entirety of his career, with primary focus on maritime, personal injury, and business litigation. Mark is a former president of the Plaquemines Parish Bar Association (1990). Further, Mark is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, Bar Association of the Federal Fifth Circuit, and the Louisiana Association of Justice.

Matthew Pivach

Matthew Pivach joined the firm as an associate in 2019 after earning his Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. While in law school, Matthew gained legal experience both as a summer law clerk and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Fredericka Wicker of the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. Matthew also received two CALI awards for earning the highest grade in his Legal Writing and Louisiana Security Devices classes.

Timothy Thriffiley

Timothy Thriffiley joined the firm in 1997 and is a partner in the firm. He has extensive experience in domestic litigation, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, succession litigation, and employment litigation. He also has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions in Louisiana. Tim is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Plaquemines Parish Bar Association (Past President). He is also a former member of St. Bernard Parish Notarial Commission. Tim is a Licensed Title Insurance Producer. He is also a scorekeeper for the New Orleans Pelicans NBA Basketball team.
