Brad Smith

Brad has been a Utah attorney for more than a quarter-century. He began working with the venerable Ogden firm of Kunz, Kunz, & Hadley. Brad has had extensive experience with criminal and civil cases before judges and juries. In 2011, Brad left the practice of law for a time to serve as superintendent of schools in the Ogden City School District and as Utah's superintendent of public instruction. In 2016, Brad returned to the practice of law, again serving northern Utah in providing representation and counsel in business, corporate, family, probate, and related matters. Brad continues to consult in educational matters and enjoys spending his time with family traveling, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

David Stevenson

David has been a licensed Tennessee and Utah attorney since 2005 and 2008, respectively. While estate planning has been an active part of his practice, he also enjoys environmental, employment, business, real property, and immigration law. He serves on local committees and boards, including the Utah Bar Model Jury Instructions Committee, Downtown Ogden Inc., and Ogden City Natural Resource and Sustainability Committee. He is currently co-authoring the Mississippi Environmental Law Handbook. David sings with the Tabernacle Choir on Temple Square, performs in local jazz orchestras, and participates nationally in competitive marksmanship events.

Elizabeth Knudson

Elizabeth was born and raised in Ogden, and has close ties to the area. She has practiced law with Stevenson Smith Hood, P.C. since 2011. Elizabeth has practiced in various transactional and litigation areas. Elizabeth has always most enjoyed the opportunity to work with her estate planning clients to understand and address their unique needs. She is eager and pleased to more tightly focus her practice on the areas of estate planning and trust administration. When not assisting clients, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with a good book and her two dogs. Elizabeth is on a mission to find a cup of tea large enough and a book long enough to suit her.

Sam Hood

Sam Hood has been a licensed Utah attorney since 2010 and he has been employed at Stevenson Smith Hood Knudsen as an attorney since then. He has experience in civil litigation covering a wide range of subjects. Sam has also helped clients facing serious civil or criminal difficulties out of difficult situations. After years of litigation experience, Sam has chosen to focus his practice on assisting clients with their estate planning and related needs. When he is not working, Sam can often be found in the mountains and rivers adjacent to the Ogden area, enjoying a variety of outdoor pursuits.
