Cerys Barron is a dedicated and talented Business Support Administrator with a diverse background in hairdressing and customer service. After completing a three-year programme in Hairdressing at UHI, Cerys ventured into the Call Centre industry, honing her communication and organisational skills. Seeking new challenges, she made the decision to join the team at Global Highland in 2023. As a Business Support Administrator, Cerys works closely with Rachel, Senior Business Support Administrator, tackling a wide range of administrative tasks crucial to the smooth operation of the recruitment agency. Her responsibilities encompass a variety of duties, including handling daily administrative needs, managing correspondence, organising schedules, and ensuring efficient office procedures. Cerys embraces the fast-paced nature of her role, adapting to the ever-changing demands and challenges that come her way. Beyond her professional endeavours, Cerys is a huge animal lover and cherishes her two dogs. In her spare time, she also enjoys socialising with friends and family, finding joy in their company. Cerys' combined expertise in administration and customer service, makes her a valuable asset within Global Highland. Grant Falconer - Managing Director

Grant Falconer's career trajectory has been nothing short of impressive. After starting as a trainee recruiter at Brook Street, he quickly ascended to become the Branch Manager in Aberdeen. From there, he went on to serve as the Service Delivery Manager for the Events First Aid team at the British Red Cross, leading and managing operations across Scotland, Northern England, and Northern Ireland. Grant's next challenge was launching and running the Industrial and Driving division for the North and North-East of Scotland at Search Consultancy, where he excelled as the Divisional Manager. However, in November 2022, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Aarvi Encon Resources Ltd in the UK, a recruitment firm that focuses on the energy sectors. Currently as the Managing Director of Global Highland, Grant leads, motivates, coaches, and develops a team of consultants and support staff to establish new client relationships and build on existing ones. He is also responsible for the continued growth of the company within each of its divisions - Commercial, Construction, Industrial, and Hospitality. In his spare time, Grant enjoys golfing, and before the COVID-19 pandemic, he spent a year doing stand-up comedy. With his first child on the way, golfing may soon have to take a backseat, but he is excited about embracing parenthood with the same level of passion and commitment he brings to his professional pursuits.

Iona Currie

Iona's recruitment career began in 2008 with Global Highland, one of GEG Capital's esteemed portfolio recruitment businesses. She started her journey by focusing on the Construction industry and went on to gain valuable experience in Healthcare, Oil & Gas, and Renewables. With over 15 years of hands-on recruitment experience and a track record of leading successful recruitment businesses, Iona has become an expert in her field. Previously the Managing Director of Cammach, one of the group's four external recruitment businesses, Iona currently serves as Group Recruitment Director for GEG Capital, leading the Recruitment Portfolio across several sectors, including Food Processing, Industrial, Construction, Commercial, Oil & Gas, and Marine. Within her role, she works closely with individual business leaders, striving to support growth within the individual businesses and sectors while also seeking to add new sectors to the portfolio. Additionally, she sees vast potential for organic growth by strengthening inter-business links and cooperation. In her free time, Iona has a passion for staying active and healthy by going to the gym. Additionally, she loves spending quality time with her friends, whether it be through social events or simply catching up over a cup of coffee. On a personal note, Iona also has a fun fact to share. As a child, she once auditioned with Ted Danson for the film Loch Ness. Although she did not get the role, it is a fun memory that she cherishes to this day.

Lyndsey Wilkinson

Lyndsey began her career in recruitment in 2010. After gaining valuable international experience working in Dubai and Qatar through a secondment, Lyndsey returned to Inverness in 2017 where she joined Global Highland, one of GEG Capital's esteemed portfolio recruitment businesses alongside Cammach, Be Personnel and Genesis Personnel. Recently progressing to the role of Group Business Development Director for the recruitment portfolio, Lyndsey has acquired expertise in diverse industries such as construction, engineering, technical services, oil and gas, food production, industrial manufacturing, hospitality, and commercial sectors. She excels at building strong client relationships and understanding the challenges they face in recruiting, drawing on her knowledge of local markets and geographical areas, ranging from the Highlands and Islands to Moray and Aberdeenshire. An interesting fact about Lyndsey is that she once swam for Scotland as a synchronised swimmer. In her spare time, she enjoys socialising with friends and family and regularly attends the gym.

Marc MacDonald

Marc is a driven and accomplished professional who started his career in the fitness industry. As a personal trainer, he honed his skills and eventually established his own successful business. Marc's dedication and hard work led him to progress into gym management and sales, where he spent 7 years working within leisure clubs. His passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and his expertise in fitness eventually led him to become a General Manager within a large chain gym in Inverness. Although Marc demonstrated great leadership, with the ability to motivate and inspire his team, the COVID-19 pandemic sadly forced the closure of the gym, prompting Marc to pivot his career. He decided to transition into recruitment, where he quickly excelled as an associate consultant, leveraging his strong interpersonal and sales skills to build his desk successfully. Marc's talent and exceptional performance led to a quick promotion to Managing Consultant within two years. Marc joined Global Highland in April 2023 as Recruitment Manager within the Industrial Sector, providing first-class service to clients and candidates. Marc works closely with clients to understand their recruitment needs, developing customised recruitment solutions. He's also responsible for identifying and sourcing talent, screening, and interviewing candidates, and providing guidance and support throughout the recruitment process. Outside of work, Marc is passionate about his family and football. He played in the Highland League for ten years and now plays for his local Junior League team. Additionally, Marc's fitness expertise has even taken him to the big screen, where he worked with Tilda Swinton and Marvel for the movie Dr. Strange.

Rachel began her career in recruitment in 2013 when she joined the Inverness branch of Blue Arrow. Having discovered a passion for compliance and a fast-paced environment, she went on to join Global Highland in July 2015, fulfilling various roles such as Business Support Administrator and Recruitment Specialist. In April 2023, Rachel achieved a significant milestone in her career when she assumed the role of Senior Business Support Administrator. With CertRP and Assoc. CIPD credentials, a typical day for Rachel is packed with a multitude of challenges and tasks. Nevertheless, she thrives in this dynamic environment and finds fulfillment in the variety that her job offers. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her toddler and dog. They both keep her on her toes, and she dedicates all her free time to them.
