John-George has been Chairman of the Group since 2019. By background he is a corporate lawyer, specialising in M&A and corporate governance. He founded and ran the Corporate Department at Tughans, Belfast where he was also Senior Partner. He remains a consultant at Tughans and currently chairs two Irish/UK based groups of companies including Pivotal. He is also a member of the Senior Advisory Board of Dublin-based Melior Equity Partners Fund.

Sir George Hamilton was appointed to the Board of Pivotal Group in 2019 from retiring after serving 34 years in policing throughout the UK, spending 5 years of that as Chief Constable of the PSNI. Sir George has also been appointed to the Board of Cooperation Ireland. Sir George holds a bachelor's degree in politics and Economics and Masters in Business Administration, He is a Visiting Professor at Ulster University, Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. He was awarded the Queen's Police Medal in 2015 and a Knighthood in Her Majesty's 2019 Birthday Honours List.
