James is a Transport Consultant at Ansons Consulting. He has international consultancy experience covering diverse subject areas, but always with a focus on supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He has experience in applying a range of social research techniques to contribute to outcomes which include informing policy, providing accountability, and facilitating advocacy and learning.
At Ansons, James enjoys the challenge of contributing to projects with diverse objectives and thematic focuses and the opportunity to engage with varied stakeholder groups in the pursuit of shared goals around more sustainable patterns of travel.
John is the Managing Director of Ansons Consulting. He is a highly experienced consultant with a 25+ year record of successfully leading and managing projects for public, private and third-sector clients. John has particular expertise in designing, delivering and evaluating the impacts of travel behaviour change projects.
John arrived in the UK in 2004, having started his career in Australia. Alongside his consultancy work, he has also spent several years working in public sector policy and strategy roles. Among other voluntary roles, John was a trustee of shared mobility charity Carplus (now CoMoUK), the Chair of sustainable transport charity Transform Scotland, member of Scotland's Climate Challenge Fund Grants Panel, and member of Scotland's 2020 Climate Group's transport sub-group.
John has built a highly capable and approachable team of consultants at Ansons who excel at understanding and delivering what our clients need.

Kim is a Consultant with Ansons Consulting. She has a keen interest in sustainable transport founded through studying an MSc in Environmental Management. Kim joined Ansons in 2021 having previously worked in promoting sustainable and active travel in Scotland's Low Emission Zones.
Kim enjoys partnership working and community engagement and strongly believes this is a vital process when influencing travel behaviours. By increasing our understanding in current and future travel behaviours through research as well as stakeholder and community engagement, together we can identify solutions for sustainable travel to have a positive impact for those involved.
