David Seaton

David joined the team in 2012 and responsible for the development and efficient running of our training division 'Seaton Training' In addition, he is responsible for running and managing the Medical and Drugs and Alcohol testing division of the business. A qualified trainer and assessor, David also delivers First Aid, Health, Safety & Compliance, Customer Service, Conflict Management, Food Safety, Functional Skills and Education and Training. David is also licenced by Network Rail to deliver the full suite of Track Safety training and workplace assessments from Personal Track Safety to Senior Person in Charge of Possession including Safe System of Work Planner. David is usually found in the classroom delivering training corses or, out on-site undertaking workplace assessments. David is also found undertaking Medical and Drugs and Alcohol screenings.

Maggie Seaton

Maggie, being a founder in the conception and development of Seaton Rail, started as the Accounts Manager in 1995 and became the Finance Director in 2008. Maggie, who was always the happy voice on the other end of the phone, and the warm welcoming smile greeting clients, staff, candidates and visitors into the office was responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of our client accounts, suppliers accounts and the company payroll. As a key member of Seaton Rail's management team, Maggie was also responsible for financial management, reporting and development of the Company. Maggie was actively involved with the business and its smooth running and development up until her death in April 2018. Maggie will always be fondly remembered, by everyone - staff, clients, candidates and suppliers. Maggie is dearly missed and will always be remembered as an integral part of Seaton Rail.

Matthew Seaton

Matthew (Matt) a third-generation rail man started taking an interest in the railways at a young age assisting his father in the development of the Company's Management Systems especially the planning database where possession plans and SSoW packs are produced.

Shane Seaton - Managing Director

Shane began his railway career in the old days of British Rail working in the Signal and Telecommunications department (S & T) working his way through the grades to Senior Engineering Technician, transferring to Jarvis with privatisation before taking voluntary redundancy in 1995 to form Seaton Rail. As Managing Director, Shane is responsible for the overall day to day running of the Company and also holds the post of Railway Safety and Compliance Manager responsible for maintaining the Company's Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. As Compliance Manager, Shane delivers Inductions on all new staff, distributes regular safety bulletins and chairs internal safety meetings. Compliance with Network Rail Standards and the rule book is essential to our business and it's development. Our bespoke Compliance Database ensures all staff competencies are in date and records all training and assessment events as well as working hours and travel times.
