Dr. Menahem Anderman

Dr. Menahem Anderman, co-author of the 2000 California Air Resources Board Battery Report, founded Advanced Automotive Batteries to provide up-to-date technology and market assessments of the rapidly growing field of energy storage for advanced automotive applications. For more than 15 years, the annual International Advanced Automotive Battery Conference (AABC) has attracted professionals from the hybrid and electric vehicle world and their battery system suppliers, to stimulate the sharing of experiences and opinions. Renowned as a global meeting place, AABC continues to ask, explore and answer the questions most relevant to the design and development of advanced vehicles and the batteries that will power them. To keep pace with the rapidly expanding market development of HEVs, EVs, and their batteries, AAB now hosts two conferences each year, an International AABC held in the U.S. and a European AABC held in Germany. Dr. Anderman is well known in the industry as a battery expert, and unique among battery consultants for having both technical and business background. His clients over the last 11 years have ranged from Silicon Valley startups to some of the world's largest corporations.

Martin Winter

Martin Winter joined AABC in 2005 and has been organizing symposia, sessions and tutorial lectures on a regular basis since then. He has been researching in the field of electrochemical energy storage and conversion for more than 25 years now. Currently, he holds a professorship for "Materials Science, Energy and Electrochemistry" at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, University of Muenster, Germany. He is the founding director of the MEET Battery Research Center at the University of Muenster, as well as the Helmholtz-Institute Muenster (HI MS) "Ionics in Energy Storage". Prof. Winter is a highly cited author as recognized by ISI (Web of Science), The Shanghai Ranking, and Elsevier Scopus. Among more than 30 awards and recognitions, he holds the Carl Wagner Memorial Award of the Electrochemical Society (ECS), has been the recipient of the Research and Technology awards of both the ECS and the International Battery Materials Association (IBA), and is a Fellow of the ECS and the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE). He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of German Battery Research (BMBF) and member of the National Platform E-Mobility (NPE), informing the German chancellor and government on the battery technology progress in Germany. Prof. Winter holds a unique position as passionate teacher to industry and governments on the science and technology of batteries and energy storage. AABC announced him as a Founding Academic Fellow in 2017.
