Adam Wantz

Adam specializes in leading the economic analysis of damages and liability issues arising in commercial litigation and regulatory disputes, with a particular focus on high-stakes antitrust and competition matters. His work has included well over a hundred high-profile cases, often with claimed damages of nine figures or more, and including many of the most prominent price-fixing and alleged monopolization disputes of the past twenty-five years.

Cindy Reichline

Cindy Reichline is the Co-Managing Partner of BRS LLP. Cindy is a skilled litigator whose practice focuses on antitrust legal strategy, analysis, and advocacy in state and federal courts across the United States, as well as before international third-party arbitral tribunals. Cindy has extensive experience prosecuting complex multidistrict antirust cases on behalf of some of the most recognizable and prestigious corporate brands in the world. Cindy is an active member of local and national bar associations and most recently served as the Chair of the Antitrust and Unfair Business Practices Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and continues to serve on the Board of the Executive Committee of the Section. Cindy has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer in each year 2018-2022, and a Southern California Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2012-2017. She was also chosen as one of the Top LA Women Lawyers by Los Angeles Magazine from 2012-2017.

Katie Boyd

Katie is a Paralegal in the London office having joined the firm in 2019. Katie assists with a range of tasks across the firm's European cases. Katie previously worked in the dispute resolution team in the London office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP where she gained experience in a range of disputes, litigation and arbitrations including in industries such as financial services and construction, engineering and procurement.

Maxwell is of counsel to BRS LLP. Maxwell is a writer and an attorney. He is currently an Associate Scholar at the John Carter Brown Library at Brown University and a Member of the Board of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). President Obama nominated Maxwell to be a Member of the Board of Directors of OPIC on May 17, 2011. Maxwell was confirmed by the United States Senate by voice vote on October 21, 2011. OPIC is the U.S. Government's development finance institution. It mobilizes private capital to help address critical development challenges and, in doing so, advances U.S. foreign policy and national security priorities. Because OPIC works with the U.S. private sector, it helps U.S. businesses gain footholds in emerging markets, catalyzing revenues, jobs and growth opportunities both at home and abroad.

Mayra Figueroa

Mayra received her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Saint Mary's University and paralegal certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mayra has been with BRS LLP since 2012 and has many years of experience in complex litigation matters.

Maziar Jamnejad

Maziar is counsel in the London office. He has over a decade of experience as a financial crime lawyer, advising some of the biggest multinationals with regard to cartels, market manipulation, market abuse and insider trading, bribery and corruption, and sanctions and export controls. Maziar is also an expert in the business of law working with multinational law firms, global banks and international organisations to deliver innovation and digital adoption, including as Global Head of Innovation.

Melissa Meister - Chief Legal Officer

Melissa is a skilled and experienced litigator who has tried civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts across the United States. As a former Department of Justice Trial Attorney and Assistant United States Attorney, Melissa also has extensive experience with government investigations and regulatory matters. Melissa has represented clients across a panoply of industries in high-stakes litigation, including blockchain and cryptocurrency; hospital and health care providers; large pension funds; public universities; industrial supply; and defense contractors. Melissa began her career at the Department of Justice, where she worked in both the Antitrust Division and Civil Frauds Section. She also served for approximately five years as an Assistant United States Attorney in both the District of Arizona and the Southern District of California. Melissa also has more than a decade of experience as a complex commercial and white-collar litigator at law firms such as Jenner & Block and Arent Fox Schiff. Melissa has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in Los Angeles since 2021. Melissa is a former Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals clerk, a former legal writing professor, and her law review note was cited by the United States Supreme Court in Kennedy v. Louisiana in 2008. Melissa attended The University of Arizona for both college and law school. During law school, Melissa won the moot court competition and was an editor for the University of Arizona Law Review. Melissa graduated law school summa cum laude and Order of the Coif. She is currently admitted to practice in California, Arizona, and the District of Columbia. Melissa is a life-long sports player and aficionado and currently serves on the AYSO Legal Advisory Board. Melissa plays both soccer and softball and coaches AYSO soccer and Little League baseball.
