Georg Eyrl - President

Job Titles:
  • President
"Top quality wines can only be produced if everyone pulls together." That is something Georg Eyrl is convinced of. As chairman of Cantina Terlano since 2017, he has a key function as the link between the co-operative's 143 members and the winery's employees. Delivering motivation to achieve common goals, taking suggestions seriously and maintaining an open dialogue as between equals - that is Eyrl's management approach. Always willing to compromise except in the case of quality, he ensures that the cooperative structure delivers added value for everyone. Eyrl comes from one of the old Terlano wine estates and is following in the footsteps of his father Baron Carl Eyrl, who served as chairman of the winery from 1989 to 1995.

Klaus Gasser

Job Titles:
  • Sales & Marketing Director
Klaus Gasser played a significant role in the establishment and positioning of the brand. Deeply convinced of the exceptional character of the wines, the Head of Sales and Marketing has been authentically carrying the name of Terlan Winery to the world since 1994. He transformed a winery with a local and national focus into an active player in over 30 countries. "Quality over quantity" in distribution, for the trained oenology technician, means identifying the channels where the wines can unfold their full potential. High-end gastronomy and hospitality were just as important to him as the selected retail trade. Privately, Gasser is a gifted connoisseur: he collects and prefers to enjoy great wines from Burgundy and Bordeaux.

Rudi Kofler

A violin does not make a virtuoso. This also applies to the art of winemaking. Cellar master Rudi Kofler combines his profound knowledge and long years of experience with a great passion for special wines. He sees perfection as a process that begins in the vineyard. Kofler understands the Terlano terroir like no one else and knows all about its characteristics. He selects the grapes with meticulous care and processes them in the cellar. A virtuoso like him listens to the wines; he accompanies and helps them on their way to achieving top unadulterated quality. Strident tones and eccentricity do not form part of Kofler's self-image nor of his approach to wine. For almost twenty years he has been creating wines that have consistently received top ratings from the experts for their elegance, clarity and potential for development.

Willi Tschigg - COO

Job Titles:
  • Director of Operations
Over the last few decades, Cantina Terlano has developed into a business of international standing. Growth on such a scale is only possible with a back office that supplies a solid foundation. Willi Tschigg is responsible for the figures and clear internal structures at the winery. As back office manager since 2008, the year of the merger with Cantina Andriano, he is responsible for the bookkeeping, annual accounts and human resources. Tschigg inherited a passion for wine from his wine-growing parents. It is still the driving force in his daily work today - whether in the office or in his own vineyard.
