After much research and development, Barber launched the CODE (Certified Older Driver Evaluations) and CCDE (Certified Comprehensive Driver Evaluations) programs. Among his partner base, St. Francis Human Performance and Rehabilitation Center (HPRC) based in Columbus, GA was the first to join forces with the CODE/CCDE team followed shortly after by other hospitals and clinics throughout the Southeast... As the second generation owner and operator of one of America's oldest driving schools, CODE Director Al Barber has literally spent a lifetime in the driving industry. His father, founded Georgia-based Barber's Driving School in 1964 whose offerings have grown from basic driver education to include driver rehabilitation, defensive driving, risk reduction, corporate training and much more.
