I matriculated from Jan Viljoen High School in Randfontein at the end of 1965. After school, I worked in various positions in the justice department and financial world. My interest in property was peaked after doing some developments with my husband, Bill Greyvenstein. I completed my EAAB exams in 1980 whilst working as an estate agent on the West Rand. With the change in EAAB rules, I completed by NQF 5 and received the necessary SAQA accreditation through iSeleSele. The EAAB bestowed me the title of Master Practitioner in Real Estate as a result of the NQF 5 and PDE 5 qualification. EarlGrey Properties CC was started by myself and Annette Earl around 1995. Annette left the agency during 2006 and I am currently the sole member. I have been selling property in the Krugersdorp and Roodepoort areas since the late 70's. My spare time is spent in front of the easel or up in the air. I have had my Private Pilot's Licence for many years, and have taken part in my 24th air race in May 2017. Through a worldwide programme of the American Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) I have introduced over 500 children to aviation by taking them for their first flight at my own expense.
I have lived in the Krugersdorp area all my life, having matriculated from St Ursula's Convent in Krugersdorp North. My late husband, Neville Wienand was in partnership with Frank Eksteen. When Neville opened Frank Eksteen Estate in Monument, I left the nursing profession in 1971 to become an estate agent, working with Neville.
I have over 25 years of experience in Real Estate, with many satisfield clients, I owned Helen Michie Properties on the East Rand, working in the Edenvale and Bedfordview areas. Just over a year ago I joined EarlGrey Properties. After a few years of retirement I know my life purpose is to MOVE PEOPLE and so I'm back selling property, this time on the West Rand. My Passion is property. I love all aspects of property from meeting interesting, amazing and sometimes crazy people, to negotiating sales - the more difficult the more fun I am having. I love homes and the people that live in them. I love buildings, land and architecture. Every home has a soul no matter how humble. I treat all my clients with the same respect and professionalism no matter who they are or where they live. A good day for me is spending time with buyers and sellers being the vehicle by which they fulfil their dreams, change their lives, get out of financial difficulty, move jobs, leave the country, get married, get divorced.... or whatever selling or buying a home provides for them. I can do the same for you... I will move you!"
My career as estate agent started in the 80's at Van Aswegen Estates. We canvassed in areas that were allocated to you. I wrote my EAAB exam and passed. I left with the birth of my 3rd child. Being in our own business I stayed in touch with property deals and lawyers. When I decided to get back into real estate, I was referred to EarlGrey Properties and joined during September 2010, and have been with them ever since.
