Dr. Humes began his private practice career in 2007. He was born in Nassau, Bahamas, and later moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. There he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, while performing research at the Faculty of Dentistry of Dalhousie University. He later moved to New York City, where he was Ivy League educated at Columbia University. There he obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a Master of Public Health degree. Dr. Humes has been appointed as lecturer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He was also Clinical Fellow in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He performed his anesthesia training at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and his general surgery training at University Hospital in San Antonio. He received his certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the university of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He has conducted numerous research presentations on dental implants, facial trauma and facial reconstruction. He is privileged to provide world-class care to his patients, performing thousands of surgeries per year, and has been named one of the top oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Fort Worth almost every single year since he started in private practice. Dr. Humes has been appointed to the medical staff of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth and Forrest Park Fort Worth. He is a fellow of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American Dental Association, member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the Texas Dental Association and member of the Fort Worth District Dental Society.
