An avid boater who owns a 205 Sport Sea Ray, Holly has more than 20 years of experience as a finance and insurance manager in the marine industry. The daughter of a retired US Army Colonel, she was born in Germany and raised in Idaho Falls, ID. Holly moved to Seattle in 1991 and worked with Olympic Boat Centers until 2008 and later with the largest marine dealership of Sea Ray boats and yachts on the West Coast before joining Global Marine Insurance in 2015. Though free time is scarce, Holly enjoys spending time with her husband, Darrin, and their daughter Zoe. As dedicated members of the 12th Man, Holly, and her family make every Seahawks game an event.

Judy is an integral member of the Global Marine Insurance service team. Her extensive experience in the insurance industry dates back to 1979. We've been lucky to have her on the Global Marine Insurance team since 1995. Her experience from typing policies to customer service makes her a valuable resource to clients. She assists with policy changes, payments, and is available to answer questions about your policy.
During time off, you'll find Judy at the family cottage in Suttons Bay, MI with her husband Nick of nearly twenty years and their two boys Zack and Jeff. Most likely, she'll be playing in the water with her family, including the their dog, Archer, but when the weather is cooler, she enjoys shopping the flea markets or curling up with a book.

A Rhode Island native, Kate is a lifelong boating enthusiast. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing in 2003, then worked in the higher education market before entering the marine insurance industry. Kate is an active member of Young Professionals in Yachting, International Yacht Brokers Association, and the Ft. Lauderdale Mariner's Club. She currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Ms. Murphy is strategically positioned to fill a need in the Ft. Lauderdale market and support the existing Global Marine Insurance team. Founded in 1989 they continue to serve the marine industry throughout the country.
Liz grew up on the Chain of Lakes in Northern Michigan enjoying boating with her family. She has spent the last 12 years in the insurance industry and the last 35 years in operations management.

Matt is a life-long boater and enjoys spending time with his family on Grand Traverse Bay and other Northern Michigan lakes. A graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Michigan, Matt uses his years of insurance experience as well as his background in commercial financing and legislative administration to guide our company while supporting the boating industry.

Mike Abbott graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in political science. Shortly after college, his love of boating was revealed when he took a job aboard a 151' Feadship that cruised extensively in the Atlantic and Caribbean. After a few years of life on the water, in 2000 Mike decided to join Global Marine Insurance. He started on the small boat team and quickly moved up to join the yacht underwriting group. In 2002, he was asked to relocate to South Florida to expand Global Marine's presence in the region. Mike partnered with the country's largest yacht dealer (Allied Marine Group); and over the next 10 years grew the company's mega-yacht business into one of the largest in the country. He moved back to Global Marine's headquarters in Traverse City, MI in 2011 to become a part owner. He currently heads the company's P&C division and is the senior marine underwriter in charge of the mega and super yacht areas.
Mike Rodrigues graduated from Florida State University and brings fourteen years of industry experience, including seven years specializing exclusively in marine insurance with Global Marine. Mike specializes in securing custom-tailored coverage for mega yachts, yachts, and multiple outboard boats. He likes the challenge of resolving complex cases and coming through for his customers. Mike spends his free time with his wife and two boys and enjoys golfing, fishing and judo.

"I speak with existing customers and assist them with changes or questions on their policies," explains Renee. "Coming from a service agency background, where the main focus was on service, not sales, I pride myself on providing excellent customer care with speed and efficiency."
Prior to joining Global Marine Insurance, Renee worked at a local insurance agency, dealing primarily with auto and home policies. The Traverse City native, who currently resides in Interlochen, MI, grew up around boats and spent every summer on the water in some way. These days Renee, her partner Shane, and their dog Harmony spend their free time kayaking with her sister and nephews and enjoying lakes, rivers, and bays with family and friends.

I want to give a shoutout to this company…we just purchased (a new to us but older boat)…I had owned this model before and have spent 3 years looking for its replacement…not an easy thing to do considering it was last made in 1986 ha, ha…but anyhow we took it from one side of Lake Champlain to the other to its new home…I had barely taken possession of the boat when I called this insurance company up and asked them for a special rider within 4 days of owning it…I wanted to hire a captain and he needed a temporary insurance rider as he is responsible for anything that happens even if I am the one running the boat…not being aware of this I emailed Tina at Global Marine and she was able to arrange for this temporary certificate on very short notice…even in the beginning there were of forms that needed to be filled out and she was very helpful with any questions I had…a smooth, seamless operation for sure…all correspondence was handled on time with knowledgeable people…so thanks much to Tina & Global..!
