Alan joined the firm's property practice group in 2014, and became an equity director two years later. His intimate involvement in the management of the property practice group assists in strengthening the relationship between the firm and its clients and helping to position the property practice group of the firm as a leading property practice.
Directly after matric, Alan joined the then South African Police where he completed a National Diploma in Police Administration. As a police officer, he took night classes at the then Vista University to obtain his LL.B degree. Law enforcement's loss was the legal fraternity's gain when Alan completed his articles and initially practised as a litigant before crossing over into property law.
Alan's strong work ethic, high standard and quality of service, coupled with his pleasant demeanour, makes him popular among clients and peers. He enjoys working closely with colleagues in various departments in order to provide exceptional solutions to his clients, making him a sought-after specialist in the property sector.
To Alan, a weekend is well spent with a good dose of rugby or cricket. Alan has a soft spot for the Karoo and, in his spare time, enjoys travelling and exploring remote parts of the country with his wife and son.

Christo is a director of Greyvensteins Inc. Cape Town and attends to the sale, transfer and mortgage of all real estate, housing and commercial developments and the registration of sectional title schemes in the Cape Town Deeds Office.
He developed a keen interest in all matters pertaining to real estate transaction while serving as a candidate attorney in the Deeds Office some 17 years ago. In his early years as a conveyancer, he acted as a correspondent for various conveyancing firms which enabled him to develop a very specialised technical knowledge of a very broad range of property transactions. He enjoys evaluating property transactions involving servitudes, subdivision and the opening of sectional title schemes.
Property related transactions revolve around meeting and balancing the expectations of various parties. As a conveyancer, he has not only developed his technical knowledge to meet expectations, but has also developed his dispute resolution abilities to ensure safe, secure and outcome driven results in all property transactions. Christo enjoys the support of a broad client base due to his outcome and solution driven approach to conveyancing and has built long-term relationships with various role-players in the property industry.
Being a conveyancer with sound technical knowledge, he has been able to give back to the property industry by training and developing estate agents and property professionals and is often called on to assist with the assessment of property transactions from the initial marketing thereof right through to the sale and registration process.
He balances work by spending time with his family and taking part in a variety of cycling events.

Emile completed his LL.B degree at Stellenbosch University in 2008. Shortly after University, Emile joined up with a law practice in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town and specialised in High Court and Magistrates' Court litigation for almost 3 years.
The charismatic Emile then joined the Western Cape branch of Greyvensteins Inc. in 2011 as an already admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public of the High Court. Emile now specialises mostly in all immovable property related matters.
Emile also heads up marketing for the Western Cape branch. With his passion for people and friendly interaction, mixed with his always positive energy, this approach and personal touch has been a vital aspect to the Cape Town firm's expansion, growth and success over recent years."

Greg joined the firm as a director in 2006 and heads up the commercial practice group, specialising in all aspects of corporate and commercial law, which is complemented by his qualification in business rescue administration.
Greg comes from a family of attorneys which includes an identical twin brother. He obtained his B.Com LL.B degree from the then University of Port Elizabeth. A career highlight was his SCA victory in Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality v Amber Mountain Investments 3 (Pty) Ltd 2017 (4) SA 272 (SCA) where it was held that a municipality can no longer withhold the issuing of a property rates clearance certificate until it had received payment of the property rates for the entire financial year.
Greg also takes appointments as a trustee and liquidator in insolvent estates, trusts, liquidated companies and close corporations and administering these in terms of the relevant legislation. His broad knowledge of trusts, fiduciary and tax law also allows him to assist clients with estate planning and the management of their trusts and entities.
At heart, Greg is a contract specialist who enjoys working on commercial transactions and creating unique solutions for his clients. His ability to view a transaction holistically makes him a sought-after colleague in other departments of the firm and he is often called upon to assist in guiding various stakeholders to a successful solution which takes into consideration all relevant aspects and viewpoints. Greg's calm and focused demeanour makes him uniquely tailored to offer fiduciary, corporate and commercial services and solutions to high profile clients.
Greg's oldest son was selected to play for the Eastern Cape primary schools Craven Week team in 2017. The sporting commitments of both Greg's boys ensures that he and his wife are kept busy more often than not by travelling all over the country for sporting events over weekends and holidays. Unsurprisingly then, Greg unwinds when socialising with friends while watching a good game of rugby or cricket.

Henno joined Greyvensteins Inc. in Cape Town in 2006 where he completed his articles. He is now a well-respected associate with a vast knowledge of conveyancing. Henno was inspired to undertake a career in conveyancing during his articles and brings extensive experience to the firm and an analytical thinking approach to bear when advising clients regarding their property transactions.
Henno approaches all transactions, whether a typical property transfer, property development, or bond registration with the same focus and intent. Henno understands the real rights afforded by property ownership and the intricacies of complicated transactions, he is also excellent in identifying problems and offering alternative and quick solutions to clients.
Henno has a close engagement with various banks, along with trust companies and different estate agencies, where he attends to their conveyancing requirements and is always available to answer questions they may have. In his spare time, Henno is a very keen mountain bike cyclist who enjoys entering races and admiring the beautiful countryside.

Liesel is a qualified conveyancer and notary in the firm's property practice group and is an expert in all matters related to conveyancing and property. Liesel's exceptional organisational and managerial skills has made her a leader in her field and enables her to serve clients with only the highest level of service and customer satisfaction. Irrespective of the complexity or size of a transaction, Liesel ensures that the extra mile is always taken to ensure happy clients.
Liesel holds a B.Com LL.B qualification from the then University of Port Elizabeth. After completing her articles in 1999, Liesel was offered permanent employment at Greyvensteins Inc. Two years later, she was appointed as a director and shareholder of the firm, a personal and career highlight. In addition, Liesel specialises in tax with a higher diploma in taxation from the University of South Africa. This makes her uniquely positioned to provide tailored fiduciary, corporate and commercial services and solutions that are also tax efficient. The ever-changing property market and finance environment keeps Liesel on her toes as she views constant research and improvement of her team's procedures and tools necessary to guarantee a quality experience for all her clients. Explaining her commitment to the firm, she says that she trusts her partners implicitly and they work exceptionally well as a team, knowing it can never be better elsewhere.
Liesel has won numerous awards over the years, including the coveted Nedbank Property Professional Young Lion Award, which recognises new generation thinking and ideas in the real estate sector. A member of the Institute of Estate Agents of South Africa (IEASA), the South African Law Society and various business orientated and social clubs, this high-energy attorney thrives on interacting with people who share her passion for the law. She also lectures local estate agents weekly on all aspects of property law and hosts a bi-monthly property forum for local banks, bond originators, estate agents and property developers.
Motivated by success which she defines as satisfying clients' needs, she is also driven by the pleasure of giving back to the community with the Greyvensteins Givers Gain Campaign, which was her brainchild. Marlise, an impeccably organised individual, has been an associate in the firm's property practice group since 2006. She specifically chose to specialise in the property sector, which requires a high level of organisational skills.
Marlise completed her studies at the then Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2002. She excelled during her time at university, receiving annual merit bursaries throughout her studies. After completing her articles, she was duly admitted as an attorney, notary and conveyancer in January 2005. Marlise was initially inspired to focus her attention on property law due to the fascinating interaction between legislation and how this impacts the successful and lawful negotiation of a deed of sale, as well as the resulting transfer of property.
Marlise is particularly astute at understanding the needs of her clients in relation to property transactions. This enables her to advise clients regarding their property transactions, taking into account their wishes and best interests and explaining the application, complexity and interaction of all the relevant legislation and legal provisions in a simple and understandable way.
Outside of work, Marlise is a wife and mom of two. She enjoys unwinding with family and friends, cooking classes and the odd tennis game.

Michelle joined Greyvensteins Inc. as a conveyancer and notary in 2016, after she previously acted as a litigation attorney at a well-respected firm in Somerset West, gaining extensive experience in divorce and eviction matters.
Michelle is an outgoing and dynamic person who loves to actively research and learn new skills, and strives to deliver professional service customised to her clients' specifications. Originally from Potchefstroom and completing her studies here and abroad, she has a wide range of interests, adapts easily and loves to forge new interpersonal relationships.
From the outset, she has a very high standard when it comes to meeting clients' expectations. As a specialist in the property sector, she does just that, by keeping their best interests at heart and finding alternative solutions to achieving specific results. Beyond the property scope, Michelle has a wide range of legal knowledge in different areas of law. Michelle is able to give a holistic view and advise clients on the interrelated details of certain routes they endeavour to take. After Rohan's admission as both attorney and conveyancer in 2012, he joined our firm's property practice group. He exercises an analytical thinking approach when advising clients regarding their property transactions.
Rohan was inspired to undertake a career in law due to a strong familial heritage in property law. He graduated with a LL.B degree from the then Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2009, and immediately commenced his articles at Greyvensteins Inc. For Rohan, quality of service, a strong work ethic and his reputation is what matters most. Understanding that the complexity of the modern business world demands attorneys that can effortlessly navigate these complexities, Rohan approaches each transaction with a problem-solving mentality, ensuring that all angles are scrutinised and innovative solutions are identified.
As a learner at Grey High School in Port Elizabeth, Rohan excelled in sport with SA colours in waterpolo and provincial colours in hockey. He remains an active sports enthusiast with a particular interest in endurance sports. Rohan has completed two Ironmans, the Trans Baviaans and Otter trail to name but a few. He believes in the adage that a healthy body creates a healthy mind and sees his sporting involvement as improving his ability to be an effective attorney. Rohan is also a vintage car enthusiast and often spends a weekend away with friends participating in the fun and laughter offered by events such as the annual Jam Jar Rally whilst also enjoying the finer aspects of classic motor car racing.

Susan holds an LL.B qualification from Nelson Mandela University. She then went on to complete her Masters of Laws which was awarded to her cum laude by the Nelson Mandela University, while working part time as a research assistant. Susan joined Greyvensteins Inc. in 2019 as a candidate attorney and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in July 2021. After completing her articles, she was offered a position as an Associate in Litigation at Greyvensteins Inc and has a profound interest in in general High Court litigation and Road Accident Fund matters.
Susan has always been academically driven and is currently furthering her studies in a Doctorate in Law, specialising in the law regulating cryptocurrencies. Her refined skills in research have provided her with the ability to conduct in depth research on a particular topic, as well as to find innovative solutions to challenging issues.
Susan believes that an overall active lifestyle is important in being a well-rounded individual and enjoys a gym session in her spare time.

Theresa joined Greyvensteins Inc. during 2017 and is currently an associate in the Conveyancing Department at the Cape Town office. After specialising and obtaining extensive experience in the foreclosure of mortgage bonds for various financial institutions, she decided to focus her career on property law.
Theresa is an admitted attorney and conveyancer and obtained her LL.B degree in 2013 at the University of Stellenbosch. She completed her articles in 2015 where after she was enrolled as an attorney and conveyancer in 2016.
She is motivated by success and therefore strives to satisfy the needs and expectations of every client to the best of her ability.

Tiaan quickly rose through the ranks and became an equity director in 2015, where he heads up the general litigation division of the firm's litigation practice group and offers a range of specialised litigation services to his clients.
After completing his LL.B degree at the University of Free State, Tiaan joined Greyvensteins Inc. as a candidate attorney in 2006. More recently, he added arbitration to his list of specialities in completing an advance programme in alternative dispute resolution at the University of Pretoria. He is looking forward to expanding his practice by offering his services as arbitrator both locally and nationally.
Tiaan's litigation practice serves both his profound respect for the rule of law and his inherent passion to help people. For Tiaan, the secret to success in the legal profession is an ethical approach to practising law and being in tune with the needs of his clients. He also subscribes to setting the standard in service delivery and aims to represent clients in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
