Charlie hails from sunny Lakeland, Florida. She chose a career in the substance abuse treatment industry after finding recovery herself. Charlie has proudly celebrated sobriety since 2015 and is very grateful to those who showed her love and compassion during her own battle with addiction. She enjoys sharing her personal experience with others who are currently struggling with the same disease she successfully overcame.
Working in this industry has taught her that her biggest weakness, is in fact, her greatest strength! She finds her work extremely rewarding stating, "My favorite part of this job is hearing the positive stories of patients we helped find recovery." When she's not advocating for our patients, Charlie enjoys spending time with family, hiking, hunting and reading.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Courtney moved to Parkersburg when she was eleven years old. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and is currently working towards Master's in Clinical Psychology. When Courtney first joined the team at Harmony Ridge Recovery Center, she was simply looking for a job. She did not expect to fall in love with the work she does on a daily basis. "I have been fortunate enough to have some amazing firsthand experiences and observations; I can use these experiences in my future career as a therapist. Every day I learn something new and grow as an individual, which is something that I have never experienced in a job before." She goes on and describes the most rewarding part of her role, "The most rewarding part of my job at Harmony Ridge is seeing individuals come in here at their lowest and slowly, but beautifully, become themselves again. Watching someone break free from the chains of addiction and decide to seek out their true potential is one of the most amazing and perspective changing things I have ever seen!" When asked what lessons your work life has taught you, Courtney pointed out how her work is a constant reminder to refrain from judging others by their past actions. Instead, she feels a person's value should be determined by their potential.

Melissa serves as Clinical Director of Harmony Ridge Recovery Center. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of West Virginia with vast experience in managing clinical teams in substance abuse and behavioral health treatment settings. In her role as Clinical Director at Harmony Ridge, Melissa uses the full extent of her education and experience and couples it with her superb organizational and leadership skills to ensure that all clients receive top-quality clinical services every single day. Her approach to therapy and counseling is a collaborative and relational endeavor where her expertise is used in determining the patients' strengths, weaknesses and goals to create clinically-driven treatment plans and produce positive outcomes in treatment.
