Adam Cook - COO

Adam is an integral part of the management team with experience in multiple areas of the business. He oversees the administrative staff as well as providing support and assistance to consultants within the company. Previous Experience Adam joined Lyndhurst in 1999 when the office moved from Watford to Harpenden. His initial task was to assess the systems and develop the technology within the firm. He has assisted in the administration of high net-worth clients working with Martin Corrie. He also developed the website initially targeting protection products and life insurance and followed any leads through to sale. Adam has always been closely involved in managing the IT and developing the business operations to better serve our clients. Now part of the executive team he has experience in many areas of the business and is responsible for the administration staff as well as supporting all consultants within the group. Adam has achieved his Diploma in Financial Planning. Adam is a keen golfer although since the birth of his son in 2014 he does not practice as much as he used to, so knocking it round 12 over would now bring a smile to his face.

Alan Brown

Alan is Lyndhurst's pension's specialist dealing mostly with clients in their 50's approaching retirement and needing advice and guidance on how best to draw from their accumulated pension wealth. Previous Experience Alan joined Lyndhurst in 2001 as our Pensions Specialist. Prior to joining he worked with a large pension company for over 30 years. Alan holds the Diploma in Financial Planning and is fully qualified to give advice on all pension planning including Final Salaries, Personal Pensions, redundancy packages, Annuities and all retirement options including Drawdown. In addition to this he also works with our corporate clients by setting up group employee benefit schemes and helping plan for auto-enrolment. Most of Alan's clients are in their 50's, approaching retirement and need advice and guidance on how to best draw from their accumulated pension wealth. Typically clients want to know how much tax free cash they can achieve from their pension at retirement and the effect this may have on their income. The options are vast, so it is worth your while seeking professional advice to best suit your circumstances and goals in retirement.

Clive Gadsden

Clive is a senior financial adviser with a wealth of experience and a broad spectrum of clients. Previous Experience Clive has been advising clients since the late 80's and spent over 10 years working for Prudential before becoming an Independent Financial Adviser in 2001. Clive joined Lyndhurst in early January 2003 and has built up a large client bank over the years but is always happy to see new clients. Clive was born in 1961 and is happily married with two children (in their twenties!). Hobbies include playing squash and walking his Labrador.

Ed Corrie

Previous Experience Current Role Ed is a Trainee Financial Adviser at the Harpenden branch who is currently studying to obtain his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning whilst he assists the team of experienced advisers. Previous Experience Ed joined Lyndhurst in 2020 following a highly successful career in tennis, as both a professional player and coach. After graduating from the University of Texas in 2011 with a degree in Corporate Communication, Ed travelled the world as a professional tennis player for over six years before coaching on the ATP Tour and subsequently, for the Lawn Tennis Association. Highlights included representing Great Britain at all ages, winning multiple professional singles and doubles titles, competing in The Wimbledon Championships and being selected for the Davis Cup squad in 2013. Outside of work, Ed leads an active, outdoor lifestyle and enjoys playing golf, cooking and live music.

Emma Hodges

Emma specialises in mortgage advice and protection. Previous Experience Emma has been in the financial services industry since 1999 and has worked within banks and estate agents gaining a rounded knowledge of the mortgage industry. More recently she re-joined Lyndhurst having run her own mortgage broker firm for over ten years, choosing to bring her clients over to a bigger firm enabling her to introduce extended services.

Geoff Newman

Geoff is responsible for business strategy, development and marketing as well as corporate governance. Previous Experience Geoff has spent over thirty years in the banking and securities industry where he has led both large and small businesses. Having worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, BZW and Barclays Stockbrokers Geoff became consultant to some of the UK's largest fund management companies. In 2008 Geoff became an investor in the business and as a Director of Lyndhurst Financial Management Ltd he is responsible for business strategy, development and marketing along with corporate governance. Away from the office Geoff is involved in a number of charities as well as being on the board of Hertfordshire Cricket and President of Harpenden Cricket Club.

Jeremy is currently the Financial Director for the company and is also the financial controller for the i-FSG group of companies. Previous Experience Jeremy joined Hicks and Company Chartered Accountants as a trainee in January 1998. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with first time passes in all his exams obtaining a wide experience in audit, accountancy and taxation. Following qualification he joined Lyndhurst Financial Management Ltd as the Financial Director and is also the financial controller for the i-FSG group of companies.

Joe Pritchard

As a Level 6 FCA authorised Chartered Financial Planner, Joe helps his clients to build a comprehensive financial plan tailored towards their specific goals and objectives. He prides himself on taking a holistic approach to the advice process, encompassing a wide range of financial planning areas, including investment advice, tax management, cash flow modelling and retirement planning. As a Pensions Specialist, he is fully qualified to give advice on all areas of pension planning and retirement options including both Defined Benefit/Final Salary and Defined Contribution pension plans. Previous Experience Joe graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Accountancy and Financial Management before moving into the Financial Advisory profession with global accountancy firm Mazars. Joe subsequently joined Lyndhurst in April 2017 and now operates as a Chartered Financial Planner and Pensions Specialist. Away from the office, he is a big fan of sport, with football, running and tennis being of particular interest. His sporting idol is Rafael Nadal, however, he hasn't been able to match his swashbuckling style of tennis just yet.

For private clients John's main focus is to help clients establish a firm financial plan built around clear client goals and objectives with guidance on wealth management, retirement planning and inheritance tax management. Previous Experience John is a relatively new member to the team at Lyndhurst, having spent over 30 years with large Insurance Companies as a Business Development Manager, in a variety of roles; including managing an office in Aberdeen and Germany, with experience in Group Pensions and Investment. John holds a Business Degree, Investment Management Certificate as well as a being a Chartered Financial Planner. For private clients, his main focus is to help clients establish a firm financial plan. This would be built around clear client goals and objectives, with guidance on Wealth Management, retirement planning and Inheritance Tax mitigation. His planning skills have proved invaluable in complicated Divorce settlements. For corporate clients, John is helping companies plan for the new Government initiatives on Auto-enrollment. This places employees automatically into a pension scheme, normally through NEST or Group pension benefits. John is a keen gardener and hill walker. He is halfway through a long term objective to walk the length of the British Isles, using recognised footpaths. He also enjoys a round of golf and tipple of ‘real ale'.

Lee joined the Lyndhurst team in March 2021 as a Chartered Financial Planner, Fellow of the PFS and Pension Transfer Specialist. As a Chartered Financial Planner, Lee assists clients and their families in developing personalised life and financial goals which are then achieved through a wide range of tools including investment advice, wealth management, tax planning and cash flow modelling. Lee's focus is taking these technical subjects and explaining them in simple and relatable ways. Previous Experience Lee's entry to the world of finance began in 2013. Prior to joining his previous IFA practice in May 2015, he had been running his own business whilst studying towards his Level 4 Diploma part time, having previously graduated from University in 2010. Since starting in the industry, Lee has progressed very quickly and was signed off as client facing in January 2016, enabling him to begin moving into an advisory role and engage with clients. In addition to Level 6 Chartered status, Lee holds the Long-Term Care, Discretionary Investment Management, Equity Release and Mortgage permissions. Lee's technical understanding has seen him awarded the status of Fellow by the PFS. As recognition for his rapid development, New Model Adviser inducted Lee into their "Top 35 Advisers under 35" in 2018.

Previous Experience Previously having worked at Microsoft and Amazon for over 10 years in a variety of Operational and Project Management roles, Rory joined Lyndhurst Financial Management as a Paraplanner in August 2021 after being mentored through some of his initial qualifications by some of our Financial Advisers in Hitchin. Away from work, Rory has two sons, Harry and Jack, who keep him busy! He also regularly plays hockey for Letchworth Hockey Club.
