Mr Matthews is originally from the UK and has spent his career in various international schools around the world; in Europe (International School of Toulouse in France, Havelock Academy in the UK), in Africa (Hillcrest in Kenya, Westwood in Botswana) and in South America (Euroamericano and Fleming College in Peru, TES in Colombia, Northlands in Argentina).
He worked first as a science teacher and head of department, followed by various senior leadership positions including head of school positions. He has a Master of Education degree in educational leadership from the University of Bristol in the UK as well as the National Professional Qualification for Headship from the UK's National College.

Ms Borges, who started her career as a science teacher, is an accomplished leader in education having held a number of leadership roles in international schools. Originally from India and now a Dutch national of over 20 years, Ms. Borges is an advocate of concept-based inquiry and a strong believer in a student-led approach to learning. With extensive experience, both as an IB educator evaluating schools and leading schools through evaluations, our Primary Principal is a true life-long-learner driven by a care for children and the perennial question 'How do I know what I know'?
