Dr Hoo Woon Ping graduated from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine, London in 2000. She owns a BSc (Hons) in Endocrinology and her postgraduate Obstetrics and Gynaecology training was in London teaching hospitals with CCT awarded by GMC (UK) in 2012. Dr Hoo worked at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital and St Mary's Hospital, all in London, UK. In addition, Dr Hoo holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound from King's College, London and she has had written ultrasound training modules for postgraduates. She published several articles in Human Reproduction, Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Clinical Governance. Besides, she is also an adjunct lecturer at Monash University Malaysia medical school. Dr Hoo's specialist interests include the prenatal diagnosis of congenital malformations, fetal surveillance, 4D ultrasound, subfertility, gynaecology ultrasound and the management of early pregnancy problems such as recurrent miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. She has been well-trained in minimally invasive surgery including the laparoscopic management of uterine and ovarian pathologies and hysteroscopic resection of fibroids and polyps. Moreover, she is also a certified colposcopist by BSCCP (UK). Dr Hoo aims to provide women with a positive birth experience even when classified as a high-risk pregnancy. She owns a wide experience in conducting normal, instrumental deliveries and caesarean sections. Lastly, Dr Hoo's philosophy is to respect the diversity of women's needs and the variety of personal and cultural values that women bring to pregnancy and childbirth.
