John Jessen is an award-winning licensed architect and proton therapy domain expert. Over the past 35 years, John has developed a unique expertise in managing proton therapy center project design and construction both domestically and internationally. John possesses a thorough understanding of the intricacies and unique challenges that both academic and non-academic clients face when implementing a proton therapy center project. He is an expert at assembling and leading proton Design & Construction teams and will provide Legion and its partners with optimum results.

Mr. Styles grew up in Houston, Texas. He is a Co-Founder of The Styles Company (TSC) a family owned investment company primarily doing business in the healthcare, entertainment, real estate and private equity spaces. Over the past 35 years in healthcare Mr. Styles has owned, invested in, managed or consulted on numerous projects including acute care hospitals, long term acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, assisted living homes, ASC's, MOB's, PT/OT clinics, revenue cycle businesses and DME companies. In addition, Mr. Styles has actively invested in a number of sectors including healthcare, real estate, retail, hospitality, entertainment, manufacturing and technology including a number of startups. From 1984-2000 The Styles Company was a founder, owner or initial investors in multiple companies including Ambulatory Hospitals of America, Mid-America Healthcare Group, HealthPlus Corporation, Triumph Healthcare, Amcare (HealthSouth Corporation). In December of 2002, The Styles Company became the General Partner of Proton Therapy Center-Houston, Ltd. LLP. (PTC-H) a public-private partnership with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, routinely acknowledged as one of the top cancer centers in the world. Over a period of 13 years, PTC-H treated over 11,000 cancer patients from around the world. In 2017 PTC-H planned, financed and finalized the first major expansion of an existing proton therapy center, increasing clinical capacity from five rooms to nine. In November 2018, Mr. Styles successfully negotiated an exit for all non-MD Anderson partners in an asset sale to MD Anderson Cancer Center. In 2019, Mr. Styles along with other senior executives from MD Anderson founded Legion Healthcare Partners. Mr. Styles is a graduate of The University of St. Thomas.

Jon has provided leadership, sales and or support to over 17 proton therapy centers both domestically and internationally. L. Montreal Turner

Mr. Turner has over 14 years of experience with an extensive oncology background, with 11 of those years in radiation oncology. Mr. Turner started his career as a dosimetrist and soon transitioned his career to administrative roles. He worked as a service line administrator at Banner Health MD Anderson Cancer Center in Phoenix. While at Banner Health, Mr. Turner was a key contributor in the overall success of developing a robust radiation oncology program which included five outpatient facilities in Arizona and two outpatient facilities in Denver. In a leadership position at Banner Health, Mr. Turner assisted in creating a culture of excellence driven by his proactive approach to business, healthcare administration and self-development. He also provided comprehensive knowledge in software integration, workflow standardization, project management, analytics, committee design, and quality and safety. Mr. Turner has an extensive training and education background, where he trained staff to become more efficient. Mr. Turner has authored and co-authored six peer-reviewed publications, trained over 250 radiation oncology clinicians, and served as co-editor for the American Association of Medical Dosimetrist (AAMD). Most notably, Mr. Turner partnered with MD Anderson to develop a radiation therapy and dosimetry school program in Arizona where they teach clinical and didactic education to undergraduates looking to start an exciting career in radiation oncology. As a lifetime learner, he takes great pride in mentoring young leaders - helping them develop skills in emotional intelligence, organization culture, conflict resolution and engagement initiatives. Mr. Turner is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Tennessee Technological University and the University of Phoenix.

Maryam Tabatabai - Chief Legal Officer, SVP

Maryam is an experienced corporate healthcare and business attorney and a senior member of the management team. In addition to legal counsel, Mrs. Tabatabai provides strategic, regulatory, and compliance advice to Legion's management team and its governing board. Maryam is an experienced corporate healthcare and business attorney and a senior member of the management team. In addition to legal counsel, Mrs. Tabatabai provides strategic, regulatory, and compliance advice (including federal and state laws that govern HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, Anti-Kickback, Stark, EKRA and False Claims Act) to Legion's management team and its governing board. Most recently, Maryam served as VP and General Counsel at Baylor Genetics where she was a senior member of the management team and oversaw all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters for the company. Previously, at the international law firm of Baker McKenzie, Maryam represented public, private and non-profit clients in complex transactions specializing in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructuring, capital market, securities transactions (including federal and state filings with the Security and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ). Prior to Baker McKenzie, Mrs. Tabatabai was a Law Clerk at the Department of Justice in Washington D.C. Among many accolades, Maryam has received the Top 50 General Counsel Award from the National Diversity Council. Mrs. Tabatabai is a Member of the Texas Minority Counsel Program and the American Health Lawyers Association. She was a visiting student at Georgetown University Law Center and received her law degree from the University of Houston and bachelor's degree in Journalism and Middle Eastern Studies from The University of Texas. Prior to law school, Maryam taught 8th grade English as a Teach for America corps member where she remains active in the Houston branch of the organization. Her professional and personal priorities include giving back through pro bono work for the Tahirih Justice Center and other advocacy organizations to make a meaningful difference in her community.

Mr. Palmer served as the Chief Operating Officer of the MD Anderson Proton Therapy Center - Houston, Ltd. LLP. Mr. Palmer served as the Chief Operating Officer of the MD Anderson Proton Therapy Center - Houston, Ltd. LLP. He was instrumental in the planning, design and financing of the first major expansion of an existing proton therapy center. The exit of the managing partnership was executed due to the operational and financial success of the Center under his leadership. Prior to that, Mr. Palmer was responsible for the Center's strategic plan, finances, day-to-day clinical operations and business development as the Director of Proton Therapy Development. Prior to his administrative career he held the position as Medical Dosimetry Supervisor for the proton medical dosimetry team for four years. The combination of his clinical and executive administrative experience gives him a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of a proton therapy center. Mr. Palmer has been extensively involved with proton therapy health policy initiatives over the past five years and developed a novel proton therapy coverage pilot with a large employer that demonstrated a lower total cost of care for proton therapy compared to traditional radiation techniques. He is considered an expert in the proton therapy field with 34 peer reviewed publications, two book chapters, 21 peer reviewed posters and numerous national presentations on proton therapy. He has recently served on the executive committee of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Proton Therapy and is on the Advisory Board for the Alliance for Proton Therapy Access. In addition, he has 14 years of clinical operations experience in all three major specialties of Radiation Oncology. Mr. Palmer has extensive experience with developing software solutions. He has a patent for developing an automatic, optimal radiation treatment planning system and has developed numerous other software that were used to help improve clinical efficiency. Mr. Palmer completed his undergraduate degree at Baylor University and his MBA from the University of Houston.

Mr. Patel is a seasoned finance professional with an expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategy, financial and operational modeling, business valuation, and business intelligence. He has worked across investment management, corporate finance (both buy-side and sell-side), valuation advisory, and consulting. Through his professional work experience, Mr. Patel has developed a coveted skillset with an understanding across a variety of sectors and industries. In his most recent role as Manager of the Modeling Advisory Practice at Deloitte in the Houston office, Mr. Patel led a dedicated team of highly skilled financial modeling professionals to assist Fortune 500 clients with their most critical business decisions. In this role, he supported clients in M&A decision making, operational planning, and strategy initiatives, while often working on-site in a secondment capacity to the client. Mr. Patel has successfully worked on numerous billion-dollar transactions for some of the most recognized and reputable companies in the world across healthcare, financial services, energy and resources and consumer products. Prior to Deloitte, Mr. Patel worked at Stout Risius Ross (n/k/a Stout) where he performed business valuation and financial reporting analysis in a variety of industries across multiple markets. Most of this work was transaction related including, fairness opinions, carried interest Monte Carlo simulations, purchase price allocations, options pricing models, and other valuation analysis. Prior to Stout Advisory, Mr. Patel worked in several positions including an investment fund and in the sports industry developing mathematical algorithms and analytics. Mr. Patel has a B.S. in Chemistry and an MBA in Finance and Business Modeling & Decision Making from the University of Houston. Mr. Patel is currently a CFA level II candidate and is concurrently working on completing his CPA accreditation.
