Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County (LVMC) is a community-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Phoenix, Arizona dedicated to improving adult reading, writing, and mathematical skills, and preparing for the GED® to attain a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma. Additionally, LVMC offers English language classes that include civics and citizenship lessons... Our Learning Centers offer flexible, self-paced, blended-learning programs including face-to-face classes, computer-based instruction, remote classes and tutoring. Our adult education certified instructors complement classroom instruction with learning software to advance -at a faster pace- the student's reading ability, GED® preparation and English language acquisition.
