My name is Caren and I'm responsible for the day-to-day management of our Lincoln office. As Head of Care, I also play a pivotal role in ensuring we maintain high standards of care provision across all our offices. I am NVQ 3 qualified, and I have previously worked as a deputy manager in a care home. With over 25 years' experience in care, I bring invaluable knowledge and ‘hands-on' experience to the team. I liv e in Gainsborough with my partner Dave and in my spare time I undertake voluntary work for a charity called ‘Unload', which offers help and support to veterans of the armed forces.
Hi, I'm Darren. I specialise in Mental Health and Social Care, providing qualified Nurses and HCAs to Hospitals, Care Homes and more. I have been working in Primary and Secondary Care recruitment for almost 5 years. My favourite part of the job is meeting and building relationships with Nurses and HCAs, and in helping them get out to work to provide for themselves and their families.
Matt Mayer is a GP who currently practices clinically as a locum primarily working in out-of-hours and urgent care. Since first becoming a GP he has been heavily involved in medical politics and GP representation because, since the beginning, he has believed that GPs need someone supporting them and standing up for them. His medico-political journey started with him chairing the grassroots pressure group "GP Survival" and grew from there.
Currently Matt spends most of his time as Chief Executive of a large Local Medical Committee (LMC) and is also the Deputy Chair of the UK Conference of LMCs. He has also spent several years working in the BMA as a GP representative, in a variety of roles including sessional GP representation, leading on workload policy, and participating in national committees.
These varied roles have enabled him to gather a lot of experience in supporting GPs when they need help, giving them advice and guidance, and understanding what GPs need to do to ensure their safety and wellbeing as they do their jobs. If nobody looks after GPs then GPs are not able to look after patients, and this is why GP wellbeing and support has been the main focus of his career.
Matt is one of our GPs but also is our GP Wellbeing lead - assuring our GPs have someone they can turn to for support for professional wellbeing.
