Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Joy attended Lamar University. She worked for several top producers of the industry, undertaking a broad range of secretarial and administrative duties. Her superior clerical support and customer service resulted in Joy being promoted as an executive administrator for a founding agent of the Nautilus Group until his retirement. In her time away from work, Joy enjoys spending time with her daughter, who is also in the industry, and volunteering to support U.S. military and veterans. * MDRT is recognized throughout the industry as the standard of excellence in life insurance sales performance. Corey has qualified for Court of Table in 2003, 2005, 2008 - 2021. He has qualified for Top of Table in 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2019 - 2021.

Pamela Thorsell - COO

Pam Thorsell is the Director of Operations at Metz Insurance & Financial. When she graduated from Mount Union College, she intended to teach elementary school the rest of her life. Yet three years into teaching kindergarten and 2nd grade, she realized the numerous teaching opportunities outside the classroom. Pam spent the next two years developing a recycling education program for the City of Cuyahoga Falls. From there she transitioned into the auto insurance industry where she taught independent agents across the country how to maximize the products and services offered by their carriers to reduce servicing time, improve retention, and increase revenue. Pam was soon promoted to management where she trained sales personnel to do the same. After eleven years on the road, Pam wanted to spend more time with her husband and son so she began working "behind the scenes," developing marketing materials to support the efforts of the sales force and independent agencies. Today Pam utilizes the lessons she taught agents for so many years and directly applies them to the operations of Metz Insurance & Financial. Outside of work Pam most enjoys quality time with her husband and son, doing a variety of activities from quiet family bike rides to the busy exploration of Dallas area attractions. She also serves the community as treasurer for Cub Scout Pack 211, as a mentor for the Daffron Elementary STOP program, and by presenting in-home cooking demonstrations.
