Fernando Macias

As Production Department Manager at Steinberg Dickey Collaborative, LLP, Fernando brings over 15 years of experience in multifamily architecture and is well-versed in adapting his team's output to a project's requirements presented by building codes, weather requirements, and local market demographics. His comprehensive experience and strong technical knowledge help him lead the production department from schematic design and entitlements, to production of construction drawings and construction observation. Fernando is a graduate of Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at The University of Houston, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture. He draws from his industry and construction knowledge to manage a skilled professional staff to deliver the highest level of complete, coordinated, code compliant communities that meet or exceed client goals.

Michael Dickey

Michael has devoted his entire career to Steinberg Dickey Collaborative, LLP and became a Partner in 2016. He joined SDC as an intern after he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Architecture. His work ethic and project management skills coupled with is attention to detail, his ability to understand multifamily construction, and his vast knowledge of building codes quickly advanced him from intern, to Production Manager and to Manager of Production. Michael has worked on every type of project from garden to high rise and all types of construction. His position as Partner, allows him to use his vast knowledge to oversee and assist the Design Department, Manager of Production and Construction Administration Manager. Michael is an invaluable talent to Steinberg Dickey Collaborative, LLP and has proven to be an asset to both the firm and to each of the firm's clients. He has been a part of our award-winning design team for the past 23 years.

Sanford P. Steinberg

Founding Principal of Steinberg Dickey Collaborative, LLP, in Houston and Austin, Texas. As a Multifamily Architect, Sanford has been serving the industry for 30 years. He is at the top of his field and is a sought-out speaker at many industry conferences. He has received his Certified Green Professional Designation from the NAHB and is a Licensed Architect in over 10 states nation-wide. Sanford received his Bachelors of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado and completed his Masters of Architecture at the University of California in Los Angeles where he received the Dean's Award. He currently serves on the board of trustees for the NAHB Multifamily Council and is Vice-Chairman of the NAHB National Design Committee, which he chaired in 2003 and 2014. He was the National Chairman for the AIA Housing Knowledge Committee and sat on the committee for 5 years. He also has served on the Board of Directors for Dynamo Charities and Home Innovations Research Lab.

Tom Novosad

Job Titles:
  • Construction Administration Manager
Tom brings 48 years of experience with different architecture styles, the last 6 years working in multifamily with Steinberg Dickey Collaborative. He received his Bachelors of Architecture from Texas A&M, and his Texas Architect License. Tom has worked with luxury residential, large and small commercial, including high rise residential and commercial renovation/buildouts. His span of knowledge of different architect styles allows him to be proficient and skilled at leading the Construction Administration department in reviewing submittals, field observation, reports and change orders, with emphasis on efficiency, timeliness, quality assurance and risk management for the owner/developer.
