Andrew S. Jacobs

Andrew S. Jacobs, a New Orleans native born at Touro Infirmary, has been in the real estate business since 1982, with numerous properties in New Orleans and other cities throughout the south. His late father, Marvin Jacobs, served as former Chairman of the Governing Board of Touro Infirmary. In addition to serving on Touro Infirmary's Governing Board, Andy currently serves as a member of the Touro Synagogue Board and the Hebrew Rest Cemetery Association. He received his BA from the University of Florida in 1984.

Anna Cohen-Rosenblum

Anna Cohen-Rosenblum MD, MSc received her undergraduate degree in classical archaeology at Harvard College and furthered her pursuit of archaeology with a master's degree in skeletal and dental bio-archaeology at University College London. She then obtained her medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Chicago, followed by a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the University of Virginia. She has been an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at LSU specializing in hip and knee replacement since 2018 and the co-Medical Director of Academic Affairs at University Medical Center since July of 2020. She has a special interest in mentorship and increasing diversity in the field of orthopaedic surgery, as well as measures to reduce burnout among residents and fellows.

Brion Stanford - CHRO

Before he came here, Brion Stanford served as the Human Resources Director of Merit Health in Biloxi, Mississippi. He has 17 years of healthcare management experience, working in the Human Resource department for both for-profit and not-for-profit hospital systems. Brion also previously served in the human resources departments of Whitney National Bank, Hibernia National Bank, and Lockheed-Martin, here in New Orleans. Brion is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Bruce Torrance

Bruce Torrance, MD was raised in Thibodaux, LA. and graduated from Nicholls State University with a BS in Biology. After working as a Medical Technologist (MT ASCP) for several years he decided to attend medical school and graduated from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA in May of 2003. Dr. Torrance then completed a residency in General Surgery at LSUHSC in New Orleans where he received numerous honors and awards and was selected as Administrative Chief Resident for his final year. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at LSUHSC in New Orleans, LA in 2010. He joined the faculty in the Department of Surgery as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery in the Section of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery where he also serves as Assistant Program Director of the Vascular Fellowship. He has served as the Medical Director of Academic Affairs at WJMC since July 2020.

C.J. Marbley - COO

Before joining our hospital, Mr. Marbley served in various administrative and clinical capacities within the LCMC health systems and the Heart Hospital in the New Orleans area. Prior to moving to New Orleans, CJ spent 23 years working in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore area at DC General Hospital, Sinai Hospital, Chesapeake Medical Staffing Agency, and Greater Baltimore Medical Center. CJ started his career as an ED trauma nurse and later transitioned to ICU. CJ has also served as ED Director, ICU/CCU Manager, Director of Marketing and Recruitment, and Senior Director of Perioperative and Invasive Services. As Chief Nursing Officer, CJ is responsible for collaboratively providing direction, leadership, and management for nursing and patient care services.

Callie R. Pearson

Callie R. Pearson, EMSHCM., is the Director of Academic Affairs and Contracts at Touro Hospital in New Orleans. Callie received her undergraduate degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in 2008 and her Executive Master of Science with a concentration in Health Care Management from the University of New Orleans in 2010. Callie first began working in healthcare in 2006 at Touro, spent several years working at LSUHSC School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery as a Residency Coordinator and an Assistant Business Manager, and found her way back home to Touro in 2019. She currently serves as the Academic Affairs and Contracts lead for the hospital. Callie believes in being accessible to all the trainees and in fostering a nurturing clinical learning environment for their medical education.

Chris Olsen - CFO

Chris joins us as an accomplished healthcare executive with more than 17 years of experience in financial oversight of healthcare systems and facilities. As Chief Financial Officer, he manages financial operations including Accounting, Finance, Budget Management, Reimbursement, Revenue Cycle, Facilities and Real Estate. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri - St. Louis with a degree in Business Management and an MBA from Ashford University. Chris came to East Jefferson General Hospital from Austin, TX where he served as CEO / CFO of Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital. He began his career with Tenet Healthcare in St. Louis, MO and has held various financial positions within Tenet Healthcare and Ochsner Healthcare. Chris is also a board member of IMCare and WellTek Solutions, LLC.

Christopher "Dale" Shamburger

Dale Shamburger, MD was born and raised in Alabama along the Gulf Coast. He received a Bachelor of the Arts with a double major in Molecular Biology and Spanish from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After college, he spent a year living in New Orleans with his future wife. He returned to Alabama for medical school at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. He completed residency training in internal medicine at the University of Colorado and a one-year combined Global Health-Hospital Medicine fellowship at the same institution. Dr. Shamburger has served as co-medical director of Academic Affairs at University Medical Center since July 2019, where he also works as a hospitalist. He has a strong interest in improving the quality and value of the healthcare system in the United States. His other interests include appropriate use of IV access devices and medical education in global health.

Crystal is the Chief Executive Officer of JCM Management Group, LLC a New Orleans- based consulting firm that specializes in airport lounge and concessions development. She currently is the Joint Venture partner/owner at The Club MSY, a premium travel lounge located at the Louis Armstrong International Airport. Crystal is also the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Talent Activated (TA) a multi-industry talent and staffing agency that connects highly motivated and qualified individuals with employees to staff part-time and full-time positions. In 2015 Crystal founded Acrew, a technology based pre-employment screening platform that connected employers and job seekers using brief on demand video interviews. Originally from Houston, Crystal graduated from Dillard University with a degree in Economics and Finance and received her Master's in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Crystal and her husband Todd McDonald live in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans where they raise three children Justice (8), Jordyn (5) and Joy (2). Crystal proudly gave birth to all of her children at the Family Birthing Center at Touro Hospital and is deeply committed to the maternal health and well-being of mothers in our community.

Danielle S. Willis, CPA has been a part of our family since October 2016, and previously served as Senior Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, and most recently as Interim Chief Financial Officer. Danielle has nearly 10 years of finance and accounting experience including roles in public accounting, financial accounting and reporting and financial planning, forecasting and budgeting. Danielle is a native New Orleanian, and has earned both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. Danielle is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in both Louisiana and Mississippi.

David Potter

David Potter, BA, is the Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Graduate Medical Education (GME) Coordinator at East Jefferson General Hospital. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications (minor in Marketing) from Loyola University in New Orleans. David joined East Jefferson in June of 1990 in the Education Department, where his duties have evolved to graduate medical education as well as coordinator of clinical research. GME duties include the rotation coordination of several clinical specialties involving medical residents and students with LSU, Tulane, and William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Candace Robinson

Dr. Christopher Lege

Dr. Christopher Lege has practiced Internal Medicine at Touro for more than 16 years. After earning his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Dr. Lege completed his residency at Tulane Medical Center. Before his current role as Chief Medical Officer for Touro, he served as Chief Medical Officer for Crescent City Physicians and Touro's Internal Medicine Division Director. As Touro's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Lege serves as a liaison to the medical staff and the Medical Executive Committee. He also has oversight of medical staff quality, peer review, graduate medical education, and continuing medical education.

Dr. Ellen Zakris

Dr. Ellen Zakris is Touro's Director of Radiation Oncology. She is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine and performed her residency at Harvard Medical School. She has extensive experience in comprehensive cancer treatment with special interest in breast, gynecological, pediatric, prostate, lung, and central nervous system (CNS) malignancies. Dr. Zakris treats adult radiation oncology patients at Touro as well as pediatric radiation oncology patients from Children's Hospital. She serves on the boards of several local organizations, including the New Orleans Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Touro Synagogue.

Dr. Steven Yellin

Dr. Steven Yellin has served the New Orleans community as a radiologist for over 35 years. Dr. Yellin cared for patients both in private practice and multiple hospital settings before joining the Touro Medical Staff in 2010. A graduate of LSU Medical School, Dr. Yellin completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Ochsner Medical Center Hospital, were he also served as Chief Resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Yellin has strong ties to the Touro community, as he was born at Touro Infirmary and served on the Touro Synagogue Board of Directors.

Dr. William Von Almen

Dr. William Von Almen has spent his career specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Touro Infirmary. After earning his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, he completed residency at LSU School of Medicine. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Von Almen continues his practice because of the long-lasting Doctor-Family relationships that are built in OB/GYN. Dr. Von Almen was appointed to President of the Medical Staff at Touro in 2020.

Edgar Lawrence "Dooky" Chase III

Edgar "Dooky" Chase III is a CPA and attorney. He retired from Dillard University in 2009 after serving as its Vice President for Master Facilities Planning and Management and as its long-standing Dean of Business, but returned to higher education in 2010 to serve as Delgado Community College/ Goldman Sachs' Lead Faculty in New Orleans for the development of 10,000 Small Businesses. He ultimately left Delgado to focus on his goal of becoming a historical fiction writer. Dooky's trilogy on "American Identity" is a five part work covering civil rights and race relations in New Orleans from 1721 to 2020. Dooky graduated from Jesuit High School in 1967 and was recognized as its Alumnus of the Year in 2012. He was the first African American Student Body President at Loyola University in New Orleans and graduated from there in 1971. In 1973, Dooky obtained a master's degree in business administration from New York's Columbia University and then returned to Loyola University to obtain his law degree in 1983. From 1973-1978, he served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corp. Dooky remains actively involved with the family's Dooky Chase Restaurant and the Chase Family Foundation. He currently serves on the Boards of the Metropolitan Crime Commission, the City of New Orleans Municipal Employees Retirement System, the New Orleans Botanical Gardens, the governance committee of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, Inc., and since 2017 the Anti- Defamation League (ADL) South Central Region. His past Board service includes the Bureau of Governmental Research, the Loyola University Board of Trustees, the City Park Improvement Association, Inc., the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad, the Board of Trustees of Our Lady of Holy Cross College, the Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans, the Millennium Port Authority of Louisiana, the State Board of Economic Development, the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education, and (most recently) the New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institute.

Greg Barker

As VP of Operations, Greg manages a variety of areas including purchasing, security, environmental services, laundry services, materials management, dietary, and other ancillary patient service departments. Prior to joining Touro, in his more than 20 year career, Greg has worked for both for-profit and non-profit hospitals, such as UnitedHealthcare. He was also an consultant for Reden & Anders, a UnitedHealth subsidiary. Most recently, Greg worked for Tenet Healthcare in North Carolina. Greg's experience includes serving as Director of Business Development and Assistant Administrator, where he was responsible for service line planning, physician recruitment and relationships, program development, operations and regulatory activities. Greg earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Alabama, an MBA from the University of Mobile and a Master's of Science Health Care Management (MSHCM) from the University of New Orleans. He served in the United States Coast Guard as a reservist.

Greg Feirn

Mr. Feirn currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of LCMC Health, the parent company which manages Children's Hospital, Touro Infirmary, and the Interim L.S.U. Hospital. He has over 20 years of healthcare experience, including 15 years with Children's Hospital and five years with a "Big 4" accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche, LLP. His professional experience includes financial accounting, non-profit tax accounting, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement strategy, investment portfolio management and operations, and healthcare-related academic research. He completed the MBA program at Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business with an emphasis in finance, graduating with honors, and has his CPA accreditation. In his role as CEO for LCMC, he is responsible for management coordination of the LCMC Board of Trustees and for oversight and analysis of the System's operations and investment portfolio.

Gretchen has served in various administrative positions within multiple hospitals and practices throughout Louisiana, Florida and Texas. Gretchen's extensive background includes physician contracting, strategic planning and business development. Gretchen brings expertise to Touro through her extensive experience in the growth of service lines along with developing and maintaining strong physician relationships. Gretchen earned her Master's in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Jill Israel

Jill Israel retired in 2016 from Entergy Corporation as Senior VP of Shared Services. Previous senior leadership roles included Chief Information Officer, VP of Financial Processes, and VP of Internal Audit. Additionally, Ms. Israel held key roles in several merger & acquisition efforts and had responsibility following Katrina for much of the business continuity efforts following Entergy's relocation from its downtown New Orleans corporate offices. Ms. Israel graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Economics and received her MBA degree from Tulane University. She is currently the Treasurer of Touro Synagogue and chairs the Touro Synagogue Foundation Investment Advisory Committee. Ms. Israel serves on the board of the Jewish Endowment Foundation and the advisory board of the South Central Region of the Anti-Defamation League. A native of New Jersey, Ms. Israel has lived in New Orleans since 1981.

Joy G. Braun

Joy G. Braun is an attorney in the Sessions, Fishman, Nathan and Israel, LLP law firm, where she serves as the firm's product liability practice leader. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree with honors from Duke University in 1976 and graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from Tulane University School of Law in 1981, where she was the presiding judge of the Moot Court Board. She has also served as a member of Tulane's adjunct Trial Advocacy Faculty. Her commitment to improve the quality of life in New Orleans is manifested by her service on various boards and community organizations, including the South Central Region Advisory Board of the Anti-Defamation League, Touro Synagogue, and WRBH in addition to Touro Infirmary.

Julian H. Good

Julian's Touro legacy is long and distinguished. His grandfather, Louis K. Good, Sr., helped build a large portion of the current hospital's footprint as VP of R. P. Farnsworth construction in the 1960s; his father, Julian H. Good, Sr., represented Touro Infirmary in health care and other legal matters as its attorney, for many years; his uncle, Louis K. Good, II and his cousin, Louis (Lou) K. Good, III. both served as Board Chairs, as did his mother-in-law, Florence Schornstein. Julian's two daughters, Emily & Allison, and his late wife, Wendy, were all born at Touro Infirmary, and Emily was cast in the very first commercials for "Where Babies Come From" some twenty-five years ago. Julian is the Founder and Principal of Good Financial Group, and in that capacity assists clients and their advisors with individual and business planning needs. Most often, his planning services involve estate conservation and wealth transfer strategies, business succession planning, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, and retirement accumulation and income strategies with a focus on life insurance, disability insurance, and long-term care insurance consulting. In 2011, Julian was President of the Million Dollar Round Table, an association of over 90,000 financial professionals worldwide. As president and a five-year member of its executive committee, he has addressed industry associations and meetings, life insurance companies, and related professional groups in 17 countries and published many articles in numerous financial journals worldwide.

Julie Parelman Silbert

Julie Parelman Silbert is an attorney who practices as special counsel in the New Orleans office of Kean Miller L.L.P. She practices in the environmental law and energy litigation groups. Julie earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Newcomb College of Tulane University. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Tulane University Law School. Post-college, Julie was a recipient of a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship for international study and travel. She served on the Tulane Law School Moot Court Board and is a member of the Order of Barristers. She served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Walter F. Marcus, Jr., Louisiana Supreme Court, from 1984 to 1985. Julie's past board service includes Tulane University Hillel, the New Orleans Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family Service, and the Anti-Defamation League. Katherine Crosby

The first female director in Fidelity Bank's history, Katherine Crosby is the great-granddaughter of Allain C. Andry, Sr., one of the original founders of Fidelity Bank in 1908. Crosby was named chairman of the board in August 2010 and possesses broad knowledge in various aspects of the banking industry, particularly financial institution management. In addition to serving on the LCMC Health Board of Directors, she is on the Board of Children's Hospital, WYES-TV, and the Poydras Home. Crosby earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business.

Kathryn Lichtenberg

Kathryn Lichtenberg ("Kathy") is a retired regulatory lawyer who, in her role as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, led Entergy's regulatory practice before state and federal regulators until her retirement in 2017. Kathy moved to New Orleans upon graduating cum laude from Princeton University in 1975. She received an MSW from the Tulane School of Social Work in 1977 and graduated from Loyola University School of Law in 1983. Kathy was a partner at Monroe and Lemann and represented healthcare as well as utility clients (as well as other litigants) in various matters; in the mid-1980's Kathy also represented Hospital Corporation of America in regulatory and legal proceedings. She joined Entergy's Legal Department in 1995 where her practice focused on utility regulatory matters. For many years, she also advised Entergy management teams and executives with respect to a wide variety of issues as they arose in a dynamic work environment.

She received her BA in Political Science from Yale University and MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Before joining the faculty at Tulane in 2017, Mara was a managing director and the Head of Private Client Trust at JPMorgan, where she was an eighteen-year veteran of the firm. Mara serves on the boards of the Jewish Federation, The Jewish Community Center, and Jewish Family Services, and is a Young Leadership Fellow at the National Committee on U.S./China Relations.

Marcy Nathan

Marcy Nathan is Creative Director for Rouses Markets, one of the fastest growing family owned companies in the United States. She leads the grocery store's creative, media and public relations efforts, shaping and sharing the company's story with customers - you can see her fingerprints on everything from television commercials, to the website, to in-store branding. She also serves as Editor-in-Chief of Rouses Magazine, a bi-monthly publication that has a readership of nearly 700,000. Before crossing over to the client side in 2014, Marcy worked on Rouse's advertising from the agency side as copywriter, producer and Creative Director. Her creativity is behind some of New Orleans' most memorable advertising campaigns. She is a local, regional and National Addy Award winner, and has judged numerous advertising competitions. Born at Touro, where babies come from, Marcy attended Newcomb Nursery School, Isidore Newman School, Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and Tulane University, where she received her master's degree in English (and a record number of parking tickets).

Mike McKendall

Mike serves as the Vice President of Operations which includes oversight over Pharmacy, Environmental Services, Patient Transport, PBX, Food and Nutrition, and Safety and Emergency Preparedness. He has over 13 years of healthcare experience with a majority of that time in a leadership role. Mike came to East Jefferson from Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana where he served as the Senior Director of Ancillary Services. He has a B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Doctorate of Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of New Orleans. Mike is an accomplished leader in and out of the organization, serving on Slidell Farmer's Market and Slidell's Heritage Festival Board of Directors. In addition, he is a preceptor for Xavier University College of Pharmacy and William Carey College of Pharmacy students, where he holds a title of clinical assistant professor and was selected as Institutional Preceptor of the Year in 2018 and 2019.

N. Knight Worley

Dr. Newland Knight Worley, an otolaryngologist in private practice, has served as an active participant in numerous hospital committees since joining Touro's medical staff in 1994. Dr. Worley has been a member of Touro's Medical Staff Executive Committee since 1998 and was a past Vice President from 2002 - 2006 and President from 2006 - 2008. A member of the Touro Infirmary Board of Governors since 2006, Dr. Worley also holds positions on the Governing Boards of the Touro Infirmary Foundation and the Orleans Parish Medical Society. He is a graduate of the Tulane University School of Medicine and serves as an assistant clinical professor with the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery.

Patricia Rosenberg

Patricia earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Michigan State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University in Michigan. Patricia has received numerous recognitions and accolades from Healthcare Organizations, including national recognition from Becker's Hospital Review as one of the Top 68 African American Leaders in Healthcare in 2019. Raymond DeCorte

Dr. DeCorte serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer at East Jefferson General Hospital. He is a board-certified general surgeon, with over 37 years of experience in the medical field. He became Medical Director in 2006, working closely with EJGH's medical staff of more than 650 physicians, and more than 700 nurses and technicians, and then became Chief Medical Officer in 2008. Since that time, he has also led initiatives that focus on clinical effectiveness, patient safety and the transition to electronic health records. Richard also led an economic and cultural transformation of Piedmont Rockdale Hospital, focusing on quality, safety, and service, and improving accountability and team/talent building.

Robin McGoey

Robin McGoey, MD, received her MD degree from LSU School of Medicine. After an internship in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital and a Pathology residency at LSU, she joined the faculty in 2005. Following a little more than one year in the role of CAO for University Medical Center, she had the privilege of assuming the role of CAO for LCMC Health adult hospitals in April of 2020. Ruby Brewer

Ruby Brewer returned to New Orleans in September 2011 as the Chief Quality Officer at East Jefferson and assumed the role of Chief Nursing and Quality Officer in 2013 bringing a strong clinical background in multiple operational areas such as nursing, lab, radiology, rehabilitation services, trauma services as well as quality and care management. She began her nursing career in Mississippi in 1979 and moved to Texas in 1989 where she spent 22 years in various leadership positions at Good Shepherd Medical Center while obtaining graduate degrees from the University of Texas.

Ruth Kullman

He received his BA in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder and MBA from University of New Orleans. He began his career at Diagnostic Imaging Services (DIS), ascending to the Chief Executive Officer position within Tenet Healthcare's Gulf States Region Outpatient Imaging Division. After a brief stint as Vice President of Operations for Proscan International, Shea co-founded and was CEO of Doctors Imaging from 2006 until 2019. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans and has previously served on the boards of Jewish Family Service, Tulane Hillel, Anti- Defamation League and the Louisiana Children's Museum.

Stephen Baldwin - COO

Stephen oversees multiple departments including Radiology, Pharmacy, Laboratory, the Imaging Center, and the Ambulatory Surgical Center. He came to Touro Infirmary after spending 14 years working at Tulane Medical Center/HCA, including the last nine years in senior management roles. Most recently at Tulane, Stephen held the position of Senior Vice President of Clinic Operations. He has also held previous positions over hospital operations and the cancer program. Additionally, Stephen worked to rebuild Tulane after heavy flooding from Hurricane Katrina. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from LSU and a Masters in Health Administration from Tulane University.

Susan Perrier

Susan Perrier, is the Program Manager for East Jefferson General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. She began her career at East Jefferson over 48 years ago and has a long legacy of recruiting, hiring, supporting, and supervising team members. From 1980 to 1999 she served as the nurse recruiter and staffing coordinator. In the last 21 years she helped create and grow the Family Medicine Residency Program. Susan has guided and supported 124 graduates from the program, many of whom have settled in the community and remain involved in the training of the next generation of family medicine residents. Susan happily admits that her devotion to East Jefferson stems from her own love of family, her faith, and the friendships which she has cultivated throughout her lifetime at the hospital.
