Dr. Aleem Lalani received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 2004. He continued his training at the prestigious Mount Sinai hospital in Toronto where he received further training in oral surgery, anaesthesia and emergency dentistry. Dr. Lalani has a tremendous passion for dentistry and is comprehensive in his approach to treatment and has a special interest in implants and bone grafting. He is a member of the Misch International Implant Institute, Toronto Implant Study Club, Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Lalani fulfilled his dream of practicing dentistry in a small town through Newcastle Village Dental. In his spare time his favourite activity is taking walks in the summer by the Port of Newcastle.
Newcastle Village Dental is very proud to offer the services of Dr. Arif Sajan. He is a dental surgeon who limits his practice to wisdom teeth extractions under intravenous sedation. This allows patients to be comfortable and asleep during the procedure. Dr. Sajan is highly trained in all areas of sedation including oral, nitrous & IV sedation.
Dr. Cho loves being an orthodontist as well as being active in the community. A desire to positively impact the lives of others is what brought her to the field of orthodontics. Dr. Cho attended the University of Toronto to receive her Honours BSc in Pharmacology. With a strong passion for helping others, she pursued a career in dentistry, graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University, receiving a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After dental school, she continued at the University of British Columbia for her General Practice Residency. After practicing general dentistry for 6 years, her passion for Orthodontics and scientific research brought her to University of Minnesota to pursue a combined certification in the specialty of Orthodontics and Masters in Science in Oral Biology. Following graduation, Dr. Cho returned home and received her orthodontic fellowship in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and established her private practice in Richmond Hill. Dr. Cho's passion for excellence also propelled her to obtain the Diplomate status from American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).
Dr. Cho believes very strongly that education does not stop at graduation. Therefore, she regularly attends continuing education lectures and seminars to stay current in the latest advances in orthodontics. She makes sure that she applies everything she learned to the benefit of her patients. She knows it is both her professional and personal duty to learn the newest, evidence-based treatment options on a continual basis to offer her patients the very best treatments.
When not in practice, Dr. Cho loves to travel to enjoy the beauty and diversity of life and spending time with her husband Sean and her little dog, Som. Their favourite past-time include Alaskan cruise and Yosemite National Park.

Dr. Rapp is our Endodontist who specializes in root canals. Originally from Montreal, he graduated with distinction from McGill University with a major in Anatomy and Cell Biology and a minor in Psychology. In 2001, Dr. Rapp obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Toronto. Upon graduation he was awarded the Edward G Dore Award. After seven years in private practice, Dr. Rapp re-entered academics and attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale to complete a two year specialty in Endodontics and was the recipient of The Dr. Robert Uchin Award.
Dr. Rapp is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of The American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Nosheen Zaidi grew up in a small town in Calgary similar to Newcastle. She moved to Toronto where she graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 2005. She then went on to complete a one year general practice residency at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Zaidi then had the unique opportunity of practicing general dentistry in both a hospital based setting at The Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and private practice for over ten years. She has a special interest in working with the elderly and medically compromised patients. She is a strong believer in continuing education and has had training in Invisalign, esthetic dentistry and management of individuals with special needs. In her spare time Dr. Zaidi enjoys baking, spending time with her six nephews and taking beach vacations.
Dr. Shawn Young is a Periodontist who has been practicing in the GTA since 1995. He is a graduate of Boston University, DMD (1991), MSD, CAGS, (Perio.) (1995). Dr. Young is a former Associate in Dentistry, University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry where he was a part-time Clinical Instructor with the Department of Periodontology for approximately a decade. Dr. Young focuses his practice on non- surgical and surgical periodontal therapy. Dr. Young is an Active Member of the Ontario Dental Association, International Member American Academy of Periodontology, and a Member and Fellow, International Congress Of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Victoria Yu was born and raised in Ontario, and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery with distinction from the University of Western Ontario, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. She is thrilled to be serving the Newcastle community. Dr. Yu is dedicated to providing quality dentistry in a friendly and caring environment.
She has participated in numerous outreach programs to provide underserviced communities in Guatemala and southwestern Ontario with dental care.
Dr. Yu is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and Ontario Dental Association. She is an art lover, a travel enthusiast, and likes to unwind with a good book.
