A native Albertan, Dr. Penner was born in Viking, Alberta and grew up in Stettler. After obtaining his dental degree from the University of Alberta in 1990, Dr. Penner moved to Calgary where he has been practicing dentistry ever since. His patients describe him as "a soft-spoken and gentle caring dentist" and are often surprised when they end up falling asleep while he's performing a root canal on them! Dr. Penner has interests in various areas of dentistry which include cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics and facial esthetics.
When he's not busy helping his patients, Dr. Penner finds the time to volunteer with several organizations such as Kindness in Action, Change for Children and the Alex Smiles Clinic. These volunteer endeavours have taken him to places such as Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and Uganda. In addition, he was instrumental in setting up a low-cost dental facility for the people of Kabale, Uganda. His volunteer duties extend to being a board member of Change for Children, where he imparts his experiences in helping those who are underprivileged.
When he is not busy with his dental commitments, Dr. Penner is an avid hockey player (he just about made it to the NHL!), enjoys outdoor activities and spends time with his wife and dog. Dr. Penner has a gentle spirit and anyone who meets him feels at ease almost immediately!

Dr. Tanner Pachal is a dual-board certified general dentist in Canada (NDEB) and Australia (AHPRA) and is currently licensed with the Alberta Dental Association & College. He has previously worked in his hometown in Saskatchewan and has recently relocated to Calgary, Alberta.
Dr. Pachal graduated from James Cook University, a top accredited rural and remote focused five-year dental program in Australia. Before dental school, he studied at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Pachal is a recently published author in the Australian Dental Journal.
Dr. Pachal's main interests are in endodontics (root canals), oral surgery, Invisalign, and cosmetic dentistry (crowns, bridges, veneers). Dr. Pachal has travelled to remote islands near Papua New Guinea and rural Northern Australia to provide free dental care to underserved areas. In his free time, he enjoys going on walks with his dachshund (Arti), going on weekend adventures, and travelling the world.
He is very dedicated to his patients and ensures his patients have the most positive dental experience possible.
