AMY K. WOOD

Dr. Amy Wood was born and raised in Dallas, TX. Her family's background in alternative medicine led her to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. While at Parker, she was president of her class and created a community service program for students. Her involvement in and out of the classroom was recognized by the numerous awards she received, namely; Outstanding Intern by the Irving Clinic; Clinical Assistant Program (Blue Coat); and other community service awards. She met her husband, Dr. Matt, while at Parker and practices with him at Wellness Solutions Chiropractic in Plano, TX. She also works to coach chiropractors in electronic health records and medical compliance.

Dominique Love

Dominique Love grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and then moved to Dallas, Texas in 2014. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Lane College an HBCU in Jackson, TN. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Healthcare Business Administration. Dominique has worked as an Admissions Counselor for eight years, and prior to Parker, she was a school teacher for Memphis City Schools. Outside of Parker, Dominique enjoys worshipping at her church, traveling, and eating at different restaurants. She enjoys spending time with her husband John, and her son Harvey.

Dr. Charlene Conner

Dr. Charlene Conner is a Lecturer in Marketing and cross disciplined in Management in the College of Business at University of North Texas at Dallas. She previously served as Dean, College of Business at Dallas Baptist University and Parker University. Research interests include human resources, generational influences within the workplace, as well as, organizational development and change. She and her colleagues, most recent publications, focused on the moderating effects of the team leader's behavior and perceived effectiveness on the members' level of extra effort. She and her colleagues have also received two research awards (2016, 2017). Her community outreach includes UME Prep Charter School (2 campuses), Board Vice-Chairman, Lighthouse for the Blind, Tarrant County Community College, South, Business Advisor. Prior to entering Academia, she served in both government and corporate entities.

Dr. Gery C. Hochanadel

Dr. Gery C. Hochanadel recently retired from Cleveland University in Overland Park, Kansas where he served for two and half years as the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Dr. Hochanadel has accumulated over 44 years of experience in higher education administration. Prior to Cleveland University, he served four years as Provost at Parker University in Dallas Texas, where he provided leadership for the transition of Parker College of Chiropractic to a comprehensive Health and Wellness University. During his tenure, Parker developed two new colleges; the College of Business and Technology and the College of Health and Sciences with ten new degree programs. He led and coordinated the University's reaffirmation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges in 2012 with no findings. Before Parker University, he served as the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale Florida, and during his seventeen-year tenure the University grew from 3 campuses, 7 degree programs and 850 students to 19 campuses, 77 degree programs and 12,000 students. He led and coordinated the University's reaffirmation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges with no findings. Dr. Hochanadel has served as President at two Community Colleges in the Midwest, and has experience as a Dean, program member and faculty member, and has extensive accreditation experience. During the past 30 years, Dr. Hochanadel had the honor to serve as both committee chair and committee member on thirty committees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges and the Higher Learning Commission. Dr. Hochanadel has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Adult and Occupational Education from Kansas State University, a Master of Science in Education Administration from Fort Hays State University and Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration, also from Fort Hays State University.

Dr. Joseph Seabrooks

Dr. Joseph Seabrooks was appointed as President at the Dallas College Cedar Valley Campus in September 2016. Cedar Valley College is a comprehensive college campus that serves over 9,000 students. The campus is well-known for its 352 rolling acres and outstanding curriculum, including Veterinary Technology, Commercial Music, Automotive Technology, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Performing and Visual Arts, and four-year University Transfer programs. Before Dallas College, Dr. Seabrooks served as President of two campuses in the Metropolitan Community College (MCC) District located in Kansas City, Missouri. Before joining MCC, he served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. His career began at his alma mater, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he served in various roles from 1993-2004. Dr. Seabrooks holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's and Educational Specialist degrees in Higher Education Administration, and an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Urban Leadership, Policy Studies, and Education Administration, all earned from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Seabrooks was the first in his family to graduate college. Most importantly, he is the loving husband of Leslie and the father of two sons, who he affectionately refers to as his "Greatest Accomplishment" - Joe Tre and Jackson.

Dr. Kenneth Thomas

Dr. Kenneth Thomas, Vice President of External Affairs at Parker University is a 1986 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic and holds a master's degree in physical therapy. While in private practice, Dr. Thomas owned an integrated health care system of Chiropractors, Physical Therapists and specialists allowing for a complete holistic health care approach for the patient. After thirty years of clinical and sports practice, he is a respected expert in the chiropractic field and lectures extensively on the use of modalities and exercise in chiropractic practice, as well as treatment of sports injuries, current trends in health care and various aspects of Chiropractic. He is a member of the Council of Chiropractic Education board and holds certifications in both Chiropractic Sports and Animal Chiropractic.

Dr. Richard Harris

Dr. Richard Harris is a board-certified internal medicine physician and pharmacist.  Dr. Harris attended the University of Texas at Austin for pharmacy school then pursued medical education at the McGovern School of Medicine in Houston.  Dr. Harris is a lifelong learner and completed his MBA at the University of Houston.  Dr. Harris has a client-centric view focusing on building relationships and trust through a comprehensive lifestyle medicine system. He currently hosts the Strive for Great Health Podcast, has several online wellness courses, and consults for several companies.  He is an avid reader, weightlifter, video game enthusiast, and author in his spare time. Dr. Harris also enjoys sports, traveling, philanthropy, church, and keto donuts.

Dr. Tony DeRamus

Dr. Tony DeRamus is a 1998 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. Dr. DeRamus is the President and Founder of Sandstone Chiropractic Centers, a multi-million-dollar chiropractic company. He is the former chiropractor of the Houston Texans Cheerleading Squad and is currently a member of the prestigious Houston Rodeo Sports Medicine Team. Dr. DeRamus is the author of the "The Secret Addiction," which has been an international best-selling book concerning marijuana addiction since 2011. He has been spotlighted on Great Day Houston, ESPN Radio, and various national podcasts. He enjoys speaking on topics that include personal development, business, and the complexity of the human mind. When he is not living his life as a chiropractor, he spends his time on a jiu jitsu mat desperately trying to beat up his good friends.

GEORGE R. LINSCOTT - Treasurer

He has worked in companies large and small and has always made a substantial positive difference to his team, his customers, and his shareholders. After proudly serving as a US Marine he obtained a BS in Computer Science and joined IBM. Driven by his passion for innovation and teamwork he formed CLaM Associates (later Availant) and along with his team profitably grew the company to 160+ with a worldwide customer base. After selling Availant, George became an Angel Investor to give back to the startup community. Along the way he became "interim" CEO of Visicon Technologies. When the Great Recession hit George extended his "interim" role for 7 years and helped the company go from survival to success growing revenue by 500% followed by a successful sale of the company. After serving with the acquirer for 12 months to ensure a successful integration, George is once again an active Angel Investor and management consultant.

Ginger Bonton

Ginger earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Philander Smith College. She has combined over eight years of experience working in the Education Field. In 2016 she joined Parker University as an Enrollment Advisor and was later promoted to an External Recruiter. Currently, she is the Director of Admissions for the College of Health Sciences/Business & Technology Department. She loves the family culture environment of Parker University. Grant Godfrey

Grant Godfrey has more than 16 years of experience in higher education. Mr. Godfrey started at Parker in June of 2012 in the admissions department as an admissions advisor and has worked his way up to Director of Admissions. Grant now oversees admissions in all degree programs and the doctor of chiropractic program. "When I started nine years ago we were Parker College of Chiropractic, a year later we turned into a comprehensive university with 30 degree programs and counting. To see the growth, be a part of it, and know where we are headed has been an amazing experience. I manage a team of admissions advisors that are seasoned, who have put the time in to help piece together the puzzle of your education history to meet requirements in the most cost-effective and timely way and assist in relocating you to Dallas, TX. JOHN HUSTON

Huston has been a life-long educator, career advocate for student learning, and has dedicated extensive time and resources toward campus growth and development. He entered a career in higher education administration after receiving his MBA and was mentored through his educational journey on values and responsibilities. An educator should aspire to bring value to the student and foster a quality institution. His path has been focused on building a strong institutional presence with a balance on development of student learning systems, campus growth through enhanced or new curriculum and ensuring institutional financial stability. His history includes student success program development in retention, understanding the value of gaining professional certification and giving recognition to faculty who continue to build stronger student-centered curriculum delivery systems. Huston has been a leader in career education having chaired both a national accrediting commission and the leading career college association. He was a pioneer in online education program delivery of regionally accredited colleges. During a long career as a college president, Huston developed a single campus institution into a strong five campus organization. He has served as a member on six higher education boards and many local and regional association boards and committees. One of his proudest accomplishments is to have led the legislative lobbying effort to gain Iowa Student Grants for individuals attending Iowa career colleges.

Lee Heward

Lee Heward is an Enrollment Advisor that brings 18 years of experience to Parker University. His experience in the field began as an International Admissions Counselor with University of Phoenix Online in Phoenix AZ. At UOP, he helped start up a sister school to UOP called Western International University. Lee has also had key positions with Miller Motte College before moving to Dallas, TX. where he took a position with the College of Health Care Professions and later with Retail Ready Career Center. Now with Parker University, he is excited for the opportunity to help students, and potential students alike meet their educational goals and dreams. Marco Jimenez

Molly Schulze

Molly was born in Omaha, NE, but raised all over the country, which gave her an appreciation for learning new things and meeting new people. She graduated with her BS and MS in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Molly and her husband, Dylan, moved to Fort Worth, TX to start his Doctorate in Chiropractic program at Parker University in the Fall of 2019. Going through this new chapter of life with her husband, she loves the values and standards Parker University upholds with their students and employees. Molly has been working with students for many years and enjoys sharing her passion of Chiropractic with current and future students of Parker University. Molly looks forward to the opportunity to help students reach their educational goals and has a unique perspective as the spouse of a current DC student. OLIVER R. "BUD" SMITH

Dr. Oliver Smith, Jr. has owned and operated the of El Paso-based Smith Chiropractic since 1975, a family practice at which he has served alongside both his father and son. He has served as president of multiple state and national organizations, including the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB), the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the Texas Insurance & Chiropractic Joint Advisory Committee, and the Texas Chiropractic Association (TCA). He was also awarded the Keeler Plaque by the TCA, which recognizes the Texas Chiropractor of the Year, as well as the George Arvidson Award by the FCLB, the Federation's highest honor for service to the chiropractic profession. Dr. Smith earned his Doctor of Chiropractic at Texas Chiropractic College and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas-El Paso. He is the Chiropractic Team Physician for University of Texas-El Paso, New Mexico State University, and El Paso Community College. He has been a certified Pro-Sport Chiropractic Physician since 1991, a position in which he has worked with both professional and Olympic athletes. In addition, he is certified in Impairment and Disability Rating through the Texas Chiropractic College. Patrick Mahaffey is a serial entrepreneur with strong P&L management experience and a proven track record of driving market share, revenue, profit growth and product vision. Patrick has particular expertise in building high-performance teams in growth environments. Currently serving as the Head of Growth for True North, Inc., past positions include CEO of Room 5, Inc., CTO and Co-Founder of Mindbox, Inc. and EVP of Sales and Marketing for Karna Global Technologies. Prior to entering the world of business, Patrick served in the US Navy, graduating from BUD/S Class 118 and stationed at SEAL Team One as a 5326 (Combatant Swimmer).

ROBERT E. ROSENBAUM

A board certified neurosurgeon and medical acupuncturist who volunteers his service at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, Dr. Rosenbaum is well respected in the profession. He is a frequent speaker on topics such as head injuries, post-operative pain management, steroids and their impact, and integrated care, and is a strong advocate for chiropractic in the healing process. Dr. Rosenbaum has authored and co-authored many articles in a number of healthcare publications. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and is the past-President of the Board of Directors for Warrior Canine Connection, to name a few. He holds two US patents and provides patient advocacy and medicolegal support for patients as part of his non-clinical practice. In his distinguished military career, he was Surface Warfare qualified and awarded medals/ribbons for Defense Meritorious Service, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation, Humanitarian service and Afghanistan campaign among others. He received his Doctorate of Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA and a BS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA after graduating from Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, VA.

Selam Getachew

Selam Getachew was born in Ethiopia and came to the United States in 1993. Due to her diverse background, she speaks three languages - English, Amharic, and Tigrigna. Selam joined Parker University's enrollment team in 2015 and truly enjoys motivating her students to achieve greatness. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 7-year-old daughter, and non-profit work. Her interest includes listening to motivational speakers such as Zig Ziglar, Les Brown, Tony Robbins, and Dave Ramsey.

STEVEN W. BROOKS - Chairman

Dr. Steven Brooks is the Owner/Operator of Sunset Chiropractic in San Angelo, Texas since 2000, and is a 1999 graduate of Parker University. Dr. Brooks is married to Shonda and they have two boys Logan and Parker Brooks. Dr. Brooks is certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as a golf fitness instructor and recently completed the National Decompression Certification Program offered by Parker University. Dr. Brooks has been voted favorite Chiropractor in San Angelo for the past 10 years and has served as the team chiropractor for the local professional hockey team and indoor football team. Dr. Brooks was awarded the Parker Seminars Chiropractor of the year for 2013. Dr. Brooks has been a Chiropractic patient since the age of 4 and strives to bring modern chiropractic care to every household in his community. In addition, Dr. Brooks is a lifetime member of the Parker University Alumni Association, is an avid donor, and has served as Vice President and President of the Alumni Association's board of directors.

Tony Thompson

Tony Thompson recently joined Parker University after 20 years with the Art Institute of Dallas as an Assistant Director of Admissions, and International student recruiter. Prior to the Art Institute, he served in The United States Army for 23 years, which included duties as a U.S. Army Recruiter with assignments in Germany, Washington D.C., Texas, Oklahoma, California, and Oregon. Tony is very excited for the opportunity to be a part of the Parker admissions team. He is married with 5 children and enjoys reading, travel, muscle cars, and riding his Harley in his free time.

Vickie Fraley

Vickie was born and raised in Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma Baptist University. She married in 1992 and moved to Texas and has been happily married for 26 years. Her son attends Texas Tech University. Vickie started working in College Admissions in 1989 and quickly realized her love and passion for advising students. She started working at Parker University in 2013 and feels at home with the Parker family, philosophy, and principles. In her spare time, she loves watching movies, shopping, gardening, eating out, and time spent with her family.

VINCENT I. SCHEFFLER

Dr. Vince Scheffler specializes in sport specific rehabilitation. He currently holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) license through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Dr. Scheffler recently was recognized by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP) as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). He completed his undergraduate degree in exercise science at Hope College in Holland, MI. He was twice named an all-American punter which afforded him the opportunity to play and train with many elite athletes. In 2004, he went on to attend Parker. He was selected to attend the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games in Cartegena and voted president of the Student American Chiropractic Association and Student Texas Chiropractic Association. After graduating in 2007, he began practicing at Reagan ChiroSport Center in Dallas. Dr. Scheffler was given the privilege to treat the players of the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) at the Dallas Cup event in April 2008 and landed a place on the Rock Racing medical team with the cyclists in South America. He currently lives and practices in Kentwood, Michigan. He is alumni lifetime member #135.

Yavierlis Cartagena Pérez

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, moved to Texas in 2017. She has a bachelor's in science major in psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University in Ponce, PR and a master's in Counseling Psychology from Ana G. Méndez University in Gurabo, PR. Yavierlis is a bilingual -Spanish/English- professional that has worked in the past in Counseling with young adults, children and families. From 2018, Yavierlis has been working in higher education advising college students make informed decisions about their future. Yavierlis loves reading, hearing podcast of motivational speakers and learning. Yavierlis enjoy spending time with her husband Luis, family and her friends.
