PITTSBURGH CHESS CLUB

The Pittsburgh Chess Club is a 501(c)(3) educational, non-profit organization dedicated to chess education and promoting chess in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. The club currently has over 300+ members of all ages (6-65+) and skill levels (Beginner to Grandmaster). We are located in the heart of Squirrel Hill, along Forbes Ave. between Shady Ave. and Murray Ave. We have two playing halls that also serve as classrooms, and a library... We are a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization with roots going back to the mid-1800s. The Club is committed to serving the needs of chess players in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, conducting instructional classes, lectures, and exhibitions, and sponsoring chess tournaments. The Club holds some of the nation's longest-running tournaments in the United States. Our Chess in Allegheny County Schools scholastic program delivers chess instruction, equipment and tournaments to local schools. Our Ignite Chess initiative delivers chess instruction..
