Brenda works as a tax accountant since 2009. Graduating in Hong Kong, she has a book-keeping certificate from The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Her role is in the area of individual taxation, deceased estates and corporate secretarial work. She has developed in depth experience over the years in relation to regulatory reporting and our clientele has developed trust in her ability to represent them in all areas of liaising with government authorities, such as the Australian Taxation Office and ASIC. She has gained a considerable amount of accounting experience through working in public accounting firms in Melbourne since 1988. Brenda is fluent in Cantonese and likes swimming and park runs. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends over the weekend.

Christine assists the team with many areas of business administration, corporate secretarial work and the preparation of individual income tax returns. Prior to joining the firm, she obtained her work experience in China, working for large multinational companies in the hotel development and the aerospace manufacturing industry, assisting with business administration, translation, and corporate secretarial functions. Graduating from BLCU-Beijing with a linguistic degree, Christine speaks fluent Mandarin and assists many of the firm's Asian clientele to manage their regulatory tax affairs. In her spare time, Christine enjoys spending time with her family, sewing and baking.

Debby joined the team as a Tax Accountant. She is a Certified Chartered Accountant and holds a Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Prior to joining the firm, Debby began her career at Ernest & Young in Hong Kong and later joined the Hong Kong International Airport Authority as a financial analyst. She has over 15 years of abundant working experience in auditing, accounting and financial reporting. Debby is also fluent in speaking Cantonese and Mandarin. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, calligraphy, and spending time with her family on weekends.

Fiona is the office manager and assists with business administration tasks for clients. She helps with all the in-house operations and ensures the smooth running of the practice. Graduating with a degree in corporate secretarial management, her prior work experience involved working in a British chemical company. Always with a bubbly character, she enjoys building long term relationships with all our clients, many who have become good friends over the years. Outside of work she enjoys walking and spending time spoiling her grandchildren.

Michael is the founder of the firm-Poon and Forte. He is a qualified Fellow Certified Practising Accountant with over 50+ years of experience in audit, financial accounting and audit. Graduating from Hong Kong Baptist University with a degree in commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance. Post study, he commenced his accountancy career in Hong Kong in the field of audit with Coopers and Lybrand (KPMG), rising to Junior partner in a HK accounting firm. After later migrating to Australia, Michael joined Arthur Young (Ernst and Young) in the field of audit and assurance. He later entered the commercial industry, advancing to be the financial controller for Red Tulip confectionary and Phillips brand as internal auditor. In 1980, he founded Poon and Forte Accountants to serve a range clientele: from families, small businesses, overseas investors and new migrants from South East Asia. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, travel and reading the newspaper for the latest business affairs.
Principal and owner of Poon and Forte Chartered Accountants since 2003. A qualified Chartered Accountant and registered tax agent with 21 years of industry experience in tax, audit, accounting, superannuation and business advisory roles to a diverse range of clientele. Graduated with a industry sponsored scholarship from Monash University with a specialisation in Accounting and a minor in corporate finance. He has also obtained a diploma of financial services (financial planning). Post study, he commenced his professional career as an auditor with a middle tier accounting firm (MGI Meyrick Webster-now HLB Mann Judd) providing audit and assurance services to a diverse range of clientele; including listed companies, government bodies and large private enterprises. Paul joined the firm in 2003 and has more than 20 years assisting the firm's clientele in various accounting, taxation and business advisory services. Paul likes to spend time with his family and having fun with his two young children. He tries to keep fit, has a passion for travel and enjoys going to church. He has just undertaken further study in his spare time with the completion of a MBA degree.
Vivian is a senior accountant with over 18 years of experience at Poon & Forte. She began her accounting career in 2002 after graduating from Monash University with a Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting and Finance. She obtained her Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) since 2005. Vivian has extensive experience in accounting, taxation and superannuation. She also gained considerable amount of auditing experience back in Malaysia before joining the firm. She is fluent in Mandarin and proudly servicing her Chinese clientele, building excellent rapport and reputation. Aside from loving her job, Vivian also loves other things, such as gardening, drinking exotic coffee and watching latest K-drama. She enjoys spending time with her younger sister on the weekend.
