VETCOR - Key Persons
Dr. Kristina Steeg grew up in North Ridgeville with her family. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science, then went on to get her DVM in 2016. She began her career working in Stow, OH, as a small animal veterinarian. She recently made the decision to move back to her hometown with her husband Matt and their daughter Henley to join the Ridgeville Animal Hospital team.
Dr. Steeg currently has two dogs (Rayna and Luna) and two cats (Furbie and Fruggles). In her free time she enjoys a variety of extracurricular activities including sand volleyball, hiking and dance/fitness classes.
Dr. Lauren Cross is Chief of Staff here at Ridgeville Animal Hospital. She grew up in Bay Village, attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and then went on to earn her DVM degree from The Ohio State University in 2013.
Before joining our team, Dr. Cross practiced large and small animal medicine in upstate New York before moving back to her hometown of Cleveland. She has taken a special interest in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and pocket pet medicine.
Dr. Cross has two rescue tabby cats named Fiona and Charlie, and an affenpinscher named Olaf. In her spare time, she loves spending time her with daughters and family, baking, and traveling with her husband.
Dr. Melanie Belcik grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and currently resides in North Ridgeville, Ohio. She received an undergraduate degree from Muskingum University and earned her DVM degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the Ridgeville Animal Hospital team, Dr. Belcik practiced in Stow, Ohio. Her special interests include soft tissue surgery and feline medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Belcik enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband. She has a Russian blue cat named Calypso.
