The Stanley Teacher Prep program was founded in 1972 by former Colorado First Lady Bea Romer and founding head Carolyn Hambidge, both of whom had a vision for a school that would not only teach children but would serve as a model for teaching teachers as well. For Carolyn and Bea, the vision for their first classroom was to nurture the development of human beings - to be a safe place where teachers and children learned and taught... Our program, with six weekly sessions beginning on June 3 and ending on July 19, offers day camps and specialty camps for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade, plus before and after-camp programs. Registration opens on Tuesday, January 16 at 9 am... At Stanley, what we teach is as distinct as how we teach. Our teachers and our instructional approach help children reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, creatively and physically.
