She has always loved watching movies, but became increasingly interested in film when she started studying it in Davis, particularly during her study abroad program, where she attended the Locarno film festival in Switzerland. Lila has always enjoyed creativity as a way of taking care of her mental health and expressing herself, through art forms like choreographing, collaging, and writing. She feels grateful for all the things she has learned about herself, human nature, and the world through studying film and getting involved in mental health awareness and outreach. She loves animals, the outdoors, traveling, and hopes to make her own short films someday.
