As a result of our personalised, divisive politics, we have become a nation in which those with power enjoy all the benefits of the country's resources to the exclusion of the rest of the country. In a country with some of the most enterprising populations, a few connected people make money while the majority of our entrepreneurs are forced to close shop before their first anniversary. In a country that has historically produced some of the best doctors in the region, the vast majority of our people lack access to basic healthcare. Our education system, once the pride of the continent, now has on one hand a few model schools benefiting the economically able while the vast majority of our children settle for learning under leaking roofs or trees and outdated curricula.
