Adam Potter - Managing Director

Adam founded AXIOM with a colleague in 2003. He is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, starting out at ICI in 1995. Having worked on design and fitness for purpose work, he then moved to Wilton's Ethylene Oxide and Glycol plant in 1998 as Plant Engineer responsible for pressure equipment mechanical integrity. He then moved to ABB in 2001 carrying out fitness for purpose work including fatigue and fracture mechanics assessments.

Amanda Garvey Kovac

Amanda is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 20 years' experience of working on top-tier COMAH sites including INEOS Inovyn, SABIC and Ensus in roles covering process design, operations management and process safety leadership. Her experience includes a broad range of process engineering and process safety activities covering equipment design, Pressure Relief, Hazard Studies, COMAH,HAZID, HAZOP & Human Reliability Assessments in the, Petrochemical, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries.

Ian Clifford

Ian is a very experience business leader with expertise in operations in the Power and Energy sectors and is Axiom's Non-Executive director. Ian is skilled in Gas, Processing , Energy, Power Plants and Engineering. Former CEO, with many years' experience at board level, Ian will drive the strategic deliverables of the business.

James Robson

James is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with more than 10 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering consultancy, specialising in fitness for service assessments and design of pressure systems within the energy, chemical, pharmaceutical and oil & gas industry sectors.

Lee Baker

Lee is Inspection Operations Manager and has an extensive working experience within a variety of production, technical and operational roles across high tier COMAH sites. From a materials and pipeline integrity background, Lee has wide knowledge of the various testing techniques, both destructive and non-destructive, that are used within industry to ascertain fitness for service, whilst also recognising the importance of robust quality management systems to achieve desired goals efficiently and effectively.

Peter Hunt - Chief Commercial Officer

Peter has over 30 years industry experience holding senior leadership roles within WSP and ABB, as well as working in a variety of senior process engineering, production, management and process safety roles for BP, Tioxide, Rohm & Haas and ICI. Peter studied Chemical Engineering at Loughborough University and is a Fellow of IChemE as well as a member of the IChemE Congress and past member of council. Previous experience includes working with operating companies to deliver solutions to ensure compliance, safe and reliable operation to the process industries in the UK and internationally across all sectors. This includes extensive experience in the Chemical, Oil, Gas and Energy sectors in operation and design. Peter has strong experience on COMAH sites in areas of process design, process safety, pressure relief studies and operations support as well as being involved with industry forums.

Rob Johnson

Rob is an owner and Director of AXIOM Engineering Associates Ltd and has been involved in pressure system design and asset life management for the majority of his thirty years in industry. Moving to the NE after graduation in the early 1990's, Rob worked for companies such as: Cordforth, K Home, ICI Technology & ABB. In this time, he gained considerable experience in the design and analysis of pressure vessels and fired equipment.

Stephen Szypura

Stephen joined AXIOM in 2008 after having studied BSC (hons) Applied Science and Forensic Investigation at Teesside University followed by working in London for a fire engineering consultancy. Then studied MSc Process Manufacturing Management before working for Atkins at Whitehaven Cumbria for Sellafield. He has held a number of roles within the Inspection department from UKAS RG2 Inspector, Inspection Manager from 2013, to Business Development Manager from 2017 to present. Stephen is an Incorporated member of the IMechE and during his career with AXIOM has experience working with a large range of process and storage equipment across multiple industries including but not limited to storage, process, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, mining etc.

Teresa Bennett - CFO

Teresa is CIMA-qualified with 13 years PQE. Having worked in the financial industry for over 25 years, she has accumulated, wide-ranging experience across manufacturing FMCG and engineering sectors at both operational and strategic levels. This includes implementation of fully integrated finance processes from inception to completion, overviewing the successful operation of finance teams along with strategic input and guidance at board level.
