DecPlay is designed for popular music and highlights the simple patterns that exist in popular music (and also simple classical pieces such as Canon in D and the first sections of Fur Elise, Ode To Joy and Moonlight Sonata). This enables songs to be learnt quickly and memorised easily. As well as enabling solo piano, it also enables accompaniments for singing... The DecPlay method is highly effective with all ages from 4 to 90+ but we specialise in helping people ‘later in life' (ie over 50). Many people in later life have a strong emotional drive to achieve their childhood dream to play piano and building and we have specifically designed the course to be accessible to people later in life and to address specific needs with accessibility, overcoming IT challenges and medical challenges (arthritis, low sight etc…)... DecPlay makes it easy for people in later life to play the songs they love on piano, using an online course and supportive community.
