BAD UNKL SISTA - Key Persons

Amy LeBlanc

Amy LeBlanc joined Bad Unkl Sista in San Francisco sometime around 2005 after a lifetime of being an informal dancer and reluctant performance artist. The art of butoh, with its focus on stillness, breath, fully embodied movement, and emotional investigation of the sublime moments of birth, life and death is a physical extension of her intellectual and philosophical work on consciousness, meaning, and art as a social practice and political expressive form. Amy currently lives in Brooklyn, New York and has a Masters Degree from the School of Visual Arts in Critical Theory and the Arts.
