Balanced Choices NU is a "made in the North" initiative. We have partnered with local vendors and firms in Nunavut to ensure that this industry led initiative is created by residents, for the residents of Nunavut. We are proud to have collaborated with local businesses on the design, translation and printing of this initiative... Canada's beverage companies formed a powerful collaborative partnership with the Conference Board of Canada, called the Balance Calories Initiative (BCI), with the goal of reducing the non-alcoholic beverage calories consumed per person in Canada by 20% between 2014 and 2025. The initiative has and will continue to leverage our marketing, innovation and distribution strengths to increase access to beverages with reduced calories, and to promote calorie balance and moderation where consumers purchase products. In 2020, the Conference Board confirmed that BCI is on track to meet that goal with a 16% reduction already achieved... The Canadian beverage industry..
