Hi there! I am a First Grade teacher at Bridgeport Elementary. I am married to Zach Stewart from Bridgeport. We have a daughter named Lorel and a dog named Tully who is like another child! We currently live in South Pittsburg. I love teaching at Bridgeport Elementary! It feels like home to me! Teaching is my passion, and the children light up my life!

I joined North Jackson High School's staff in 2015 as a science teacher, teaching Biology for four years before being named assistant principal for the 2019-2020 school year. Growing up in Stevenson, Alabama, I graduated from North Jackson in 2008. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I then went on to earn a master's degree in Secondary Education from Alabama A&M University. After talking with some of my mentors in the county, I decided to go back to school to receive an administration certificate in Instructional Leadership. During my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, and spending time with my family. I am excited to start my new position and cannot wait to see what the future holds for North Jackson. Once a Chief, always a Chief!
Bridgeport has always been my home. In fact, I went to B.E.S. as a child. My husband is Ricky Abbott and my daughter is Sidney Abbott. I began working at Bridgeport Elementary School as a paraprofessional in 2001. In December, 2008, I graduated from Athens State University with my B. S. in Elementary Education. I love working with children and am very excited about this year.
I currently reside in Pisgah, AL. I have 3 children. Katie, Allie, and Jase. This will be my 17th year teaching and my 6th at Bridgeport Elementary. I am very excited to be teaching 3rd grade reading and Language Arts this year. It's going to be a great year!
I am originally from Stevenson, Alabama, and currently live in Bridgeport, Alabama. This is my 19th year teaching. My mother and sister have worked at NJHS as teachers. My husband and I have one daughter who is currently teaching at NJHS as an art teacher. Working with the teachers and principals in Jackson County has been a rewarding experience. Outside of my profession, I enjoy reading, gardening, and collecting antiques.
I reside in Scottsboro with my husband, Don. Our twenty-five year old daughter, Lauren, lives in Birmingham where she is employed as a R.N. at U.A.B. hospital. In my spare time I like to read, go to the movies, shop, and travel (especially...TRAVEL).

I live in Skyline and I am the youngest of four children. I have one son, his name is Preston, and he is the keeper of my heart!!
I graduated from Skyline High School in 1999. After graduation, I attended Northeast Alabama Community College for two years and transferred to Athens State University. I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Athens State in 2004. I began teaching at Bridgeport Middle School in August of 2005 and immediately started to work on my Masters in Library Media Science at the University of West Alabama. I graduated with my M.S. in Library Media Science in 2007.
