Caroline Picart assists with casework including the research and writing of Appellate Briefs, Post-conviction Matters. Caroline is a distinguished scholar-lawyer who holds not only a J.D. from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law, where she graduated cum laude, but a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Penn State and a Master's Degree from the University of Cambridge in the U.K. She joined the Tim Bower Rodriguez federal defense team after serving as a Postgraduate Public Interest Fellow at the 8th Judicial Circuit Court, and has an impressive record of publications in legal journals. Caroline hails from the Philippines and is literate in Spanish, adding to our office's international outlook and ability to serve a wide range of clients.

Federal Defense Lawyer, Dane Chase has a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree from Mount Mercy College and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Dayton. He is also a member of the Florida and Iowa Bar Association. Dane oversees case research and preparation and is Of Counsel to the firm. An excellent communicator, he walks clients through each step, taking away the confusion of the legal process. He handles the details in trial motions, appeals and post-conviction motions. "Having worked for the Office of the Iowa Public Defender in the past, I saw firsthand the problems that an over-burdened and under-funded law office has when defending defendants' rights," he says.
