EMMA L. EDWARDS, 84, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on February 16, 2022. She was born on October 12, 1937, in Swainsboro, GA, to Emma Jackson and Moses Edwards. Church was her life and was recognized as Mother Emma Edwards. She was married for 47 years to the late John Edwards.

Mr. Clyde L. Chandler

Mr. Clyde L. Chandler became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer by the State of Florida on October 18, 1966. He then worked for Bodge Funeral Home in Pensacola before moving to Clearwater where he was employed with Larkins Funeral Home. He then decided to move to Sarasota, Florida and was employed at Stevens Funeral Home. In 1995, his dream of owning his own funeral home was recognized when he along with his wife opened Chandler and Son Funeral Home. In 2003, the Chandler's had a groundbreaking ceremony in Newtown where they continue to provide "Dignified Services for Precious Memories." Mr. Clyde L. Chandler, better known as "Sonny", age 73, of Sarasota, Florida and formerly of Graceville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 18th 2012 in Sarasota, Florida.

Williams, Sr. was born on December 16, 1973, in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Demond was a beloved coach, and he loved his family. He was a very well-known person in the Sarasota Newtown area. Demond loved old school music and his rottweiler dogs. He was a Baptist.

Livingston Corbin was born November 18, 1953, in St. Michaels, Barbados to Charles and Enid Hines. Livingston completed his educational studies in Barbados, which included Culinary Arts. He relocated to the United States as a young man, where he became employed by Pepsi Cola, where he worked for 26 years until his retirement. Livingston met Ravonna Spicer in 1989, and the two married in 1996 and remained married until his passing. To this union, two children were born. Nyquavia and Derrec Corbin, both of Bradenton, Florida. He has another son, Rayan Skeete, of Barbados. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael and Nigel.

Mr. Matthew Alexander Stewart

Funeral services for Matthew Stewart will be on Saturday, July 22, 2023, 11:00 AM at C. L. Chandler Memorial Chapel, 1425 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Sarasota, Florida 34234. Matthew Alexander Stewart was born on November 11, 2004, in Albany, NY., to parents Daryle and Angela Stewart. He was the younger brother to Nicholas Edward and Ashley Nicole (deceased.). Matthew grew up in Cincinnati, OH, and Greenville, SC. In Cincinnati, he attended Freedom Elementary School. Matthew played soccer and was a member of the Cub Scouts. In Greenville, he attended Ellen Woodside Elementary School. At Beck Academy Middle, Matthew was a robotics team member. His first two years were at JL Mann High School. His family moved to Florida, where he attended Lakewood Ranch High, but he graduated from Florida Virtual High School in May 2023. As a child, he enjoyed playing soccer; he also enjoyed playing video games with his brother. As he got older, he enjoyed reading sci-fi/fantasy books, weight lifting, and hanging out with his friends. Matthew came to Christ at an early age. At seven years old, he was baptized at the Vineyard Church in Cincinnati, OH. He and his family later became members of Brookwood Church in Simpsonville, SC. After moving to Florida, the family attended Woodland Community Church in Bradenton, FL. Like many teenagers, he enjoyed the typical milestones: he obtained his driver's license and got his first job at Panera Bread. He leaves behind many loving family members, including, Grandparents: Minnie Brown (Owensboro, KY); Eugene Smith (Wilma) of Louisville, KY.; Robert and Brenda Stewart of Cincinnati, OH; He was loved by many aunts and uncles: Mark Stewart (Tracy), Richard Eiche, Michael Stewart (Nikki), Brandon Stewart (Martiza), Readus Smith (deceased) and a host of cousins, great aunts, great uncles and classmates.

Mr. Myron Frederick Robinson

Myron Frederick Robinson, 79, of Sarasota FL beautifully transitioned May 18, 2023. He was a devoted father, husband, grandparent, and servant of his community. He was the second child of Romeo James and Virginia Robinson of Youngstown, Ohio. Myron Robinson received his BS degree in Sociology in 1967 from Youngstown State University and had a successful career that transformed many lives upon his early career launch from the Executive Development Program for National Urban League leaders, at Harvard University. This program prepared him to become the youngest Urban League president in the country, in 1972, taking the helm as CEO in Madison WI. Myron lived a dedicated life of service for more than 37 years as CEO for various Urban League affiliates, around the country including New Haven CT, Greenville SC, and Cleveland, OH. He eventually, served a dual role as President of the Ohio Council of Urban League Executives. He served on various corporate boards including Key Bank and Carolina First, and nonprofit boards including John Carroll University, University Hospital of Cleveland, Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, Manatee County Library Foundation, the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, Plymouth Harbor of Sarasota, and the State Chamber of Commerce of South Carolina to name a few. Upon retirement, Myron continued to serve his community in Sarasota, FL as the Moderator of the First Congregational United Church of Christ and on the Board of Doctor's Hospital and Manatee Library in Sarasota. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Prince Hall Mason, and a member emeritus of Gamma Xi Boule. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Brenda King, two adult children Myron Rodney (Maia and Brennan) and Myra Michele (Joshua and Jordan), daughter-in-love Diedre and son-in-love Ronald, his sister Anita Carroll (Changa) and brother-in-love Joseph, a host of relatives, friends, and family around the world. A Celebration of Life & Legacy to honor Myron's life will be held at The First Congregational Church 1031 S Euclid Ave, Sarasota, FL 34237 on October 14 th, 2023 at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Dr. Wesley Bixby will officiate. The committal service will occur after the ceremony on the church grounds. The Service will be livestreamed. She attended school in Miami and furthered her education in Sarasota County, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. Claudine was employed in nursing for over 20 years and as a cosmetologist since 1986. She was the life of the party, loved.to gohang with friends and family and she loved to sing and dance. Claudine Jeanett Runyon departed this life on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in Bradenton, Florida. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean Runyon. She leaves to cherish her memories….

Verna L. Hall

Verna Hall was born Verna Lee Rosanna Purdie on August 3rd, 1932, to parents, Lee Purdie and Sarah Weir. She was born in the home where she resided up until the last months of her life. At an early age, she learned to listen more often than she talked ….. a skill that assisted her in educating herself to become a renaissance woman. She lived an extraordinary life that took her to California, points in between, and back to Florida. She became a Radiology Film Technician at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and excelled in that role until her retirement. Once retired, Verna enhanced her culinary, knitting, and gardening skills. Her spicy meals and backyard garden became a staple of her community.
