ROTARY

The Rotary Club of Palatine was founded in March 1964 to support the people of the Village of Palatine and to promote international understanding and friendship. We have supported many local projects over the years, including the Firefighter's Memorial, the Wood Street Gazebo, the accessible playground at the Salt Creek Park district, Rotary Plaza at Palatine and Plum Grove Road, the trees and benches along Wood Street, and many others. We support a broad spectrum of local charities that aid those in need in Palatine and surrounding communities... International projects include clean water and soy milk projects in Guatemala, ShelterBox emergency rescue systems for wherever they're required, and literacy and school support in Africa, Haiti, Jamaica and India. We are a part of Rotary International, which has for decades been involved in the eradication of Polio worldwide.
