Aisha Oakley is E3G's HR Manager. Her role focusses on ensuring that the HR function helps the organisation deliver its strategy and objectives through its people.
Aisha focuses on evolving effective recruiting, developing people and building robust infrastructure to support our work. Aisha also provides an impartial voice for staff, with staff wellbeing at the heart of what she delivers.
Aisha is currently working on developing the HR infrastructure to ensure the organisation is future proof. She is passionate about working at E3G and supporting the agenda of environmental change.
Prior to joining E3G, Aisha worked in HR for the last 17 years. She has a wealth of experience spanning charity, the third sector and private organisations - mainly SME's.
Aisha holds a CIPD qualification and an MA in Drama.

Alden is an expert on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Paris Agreement, and other aspects of international climate policy. He has attended the climate negotiations since they first started in 1991 and has served as an informal adviser to numerous UNFCCC Conference of the Parties presidencies; his analysis and advocacy have helped shape both U.S. and UN policies. Since 2014, he has served as the U.S. country lead for the International Climate Politics Hub (and its predecessor, the Climate Briefing Service), and he chairs the ICPH G7 & G20 working group. Ana holds a BA in International Affairs and Sustainability from the George Washington University and a MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation by the London School of Economics. Until now, she has specialized in the effects of climate change in water security and financing water adaptation projects. Before joining E3G, Ana has worked for over 5 years in policy advocacy and research project management in a variety of institutions including WaterAid, the European Commission's Directorate General for International Partnerships, the George Washington University, and the University of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Angeline works on developing concise analyses of EU and Chinese climate policy and politics, and the impact of European and Chinese domestic politics on international climate diplomacy. She focuses on opportunities for bilateral climate cooperation between China, the EU and the US.

Anusha is a Senior Policy Advisor, for diplomatic engagement in the Fossil Fuel Transition team. She works closely with diplomatic actors and civil society to advocate for an end to the construction of new coal power projects and transition towards clean alternatives.

Prior to E3G, Ben worked at CDP as part of the Assessing Low-Carbon Transition initiative. His role focused on researching companies' climate strategies and emissions, and working with the World Benchmarking Alliance, he produced benchmarks of the oil and gas, automotive and electric utility industries. Ben also has experience working on deforestation and land degradation issues at CDP and conservation organisations.
Ben studied Geography at Durham University, followed by an MA in Environment, Development and Policy at Sussex University. Outside of work, he enjoys running, rum-based cocktails and volunteers with the UK Youth Climate Coalition.

She worked with E3G's International Climate Finance team between 2013 to 2014 and now serves as a Senior Associate on climate finance related projects. She is the founder and Principal Associate of Rabia Greening Finance, which focuses on financing sustainability transitions in the Global South.
Chantal's research relates to the role of financial systems in sustainability transition processes, national development banks, financing strategies for climate action and rethinking finance theories for sustainability. Her geographic interest is the Global South, specifically Africa and Latin America. She has private and public finance experience in South Africa and the United States practising in various professional roles at audit firms, investment banks and development finance institutions. Chantal supports policymakers across Africa to access climate finance and consults for global policy thinktanks, multilateral and bilateral development institutions on matters related to her research.

Charra is a Senior Associate in Climate and Trade in the Clean Economy Programme and contributes to building up E3G's work on better aligning trade and climate policy in the UK and the EU. His areas of interest are the intersection between climate policy and trade, transition to clean economy, just transitions and climate finance. Charra is also interested in bringing perspectives from the developing world into climate change, international trade, and international diplomacy discussions.

Chris Littlecott leads E3G's activities on the transition from coal to clean energy, with a focus on supporting the growing international transition effort to accelerate the phase out of coal power generation.
Chris has been closely involved in UK coal policy since 2008. He has worked as a policy analyst, civil society advocate, and advisor to government throughout this period, helping to shape the UK's progress from facing a wave of new coal power plant proposals through to its world-leading commitment to an end to coal power generation. Chris currently leads E3G's strategic advice to decision makers on the global coal transition challenge as well as analytical projects such as E3G's annual scorecard of progress on coal by G7 countries.
Chris was one of the original E3G start-up team from 2004 to 2008, during which he coordinated the groundbreaking Europe in the World project. He rejoined E3G in May 2012 following 4 years as a senior policy advisor at Green Alliance where he led work on EU engagement, coal policy, and carbon capture and storage. Amongst other cross-sectoral initiatives he compiled and edited the October 2008 publication ‘A last chance for coal: making carbon capture and storage a reality', and the March 2010 publication ‘Unlocking a low-carbon Europe: perspectives on EU budget reform'. He also convened the September 2009 UK CCS dialogue of over 40 organisations.
From 2008 to 2011 Chris served as the UK boardmember and Vice President of European Environmental Bureau, Europe's largest network of environmental organisations. He has also contributed to the advisory committee of UKCCSC, and the Energy Advisory Panel of the Energy Institute. From 2012-2015 Chris was a policy research associate with the Scottish Carbon Capture and Storage academic network. He is a member of the advisory council of ZEP - the European Technology Platform for CCS.
Chris has a BSc in Environmental Management and Policy from the London School of Economics, and an MA in Leadership for Sustainable Development from Forum for the Future / Middlesex University.
Christine is a Policy Advisor in the Sustainable Finance team at E3G, advocating for international architecture reform as sparked by the Bridgetown initiative.
Christine works to accelerate international financial system reform, with a focus on redirecting finance, spurring innovation and investment in Multilateral Development Banks and international institutions to drive sustainable and inclusive development.
Before joining E3G, Christine worked at the Australian Treasury and Australian Parliamentary Budget Office as a Senior Analyst in Canberra. Her experience encompassed a range of economic policy areas, including COVID-19 economic policy, representation at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, tax policy and demographic forecasting.

Clarence spent six years at the Australian Embassy in the United States, where he advised on strategies to engage the Congress and executive branch.
As a lobbyist and advocate, he represented the interests of the Sabin Vaccine Institute, the ONE Campaign, and the Enough Project.
He has also served as a congressional appropriations liaison for the Department of Energy, managed congressional outreach for the Council on Foreign Relations, and served in the Bureau of Public Affairs at the Department of State.

Prior to E3G, she spent a decade in the UK civil service, working as an economist at the Department for Transport and Department for Food, Environment and Rural Affairs. From 2017-2023 she worked for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office as a UK Diplomat in Germany, leading the Embassy's work on global issues, including climate, energy, environment industrial policy and social policy.
She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh in Economics and Sociology, and an MSc in International Trade, Finance and Development from the Barcelona School of Economics.
In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, spending time in nature, playing guitar and singing in a choir.

Daniel Firger is a Senior Advisor at E3G. He is the Managing Director of Great Circle Capital Advisors, a consultancy focused on the transition of capital markets to a net zero emissions, climate resilient future. He also serves as Senior Advisor at both Encourage Capital LLC and the ClimateWorks Foundation, and sits on the advisory boards of Spring Lane Capital, a sustainable infrastructure investment fund, and an early-stage climate risk analytics start-up.
Daniele's work focuses on the nexus between climate and the economy, dealing with European and international regulation that incentivises the financing of sustainable business activities and transparency of ESG information. This includes the development of transition plans and disclosure standards for businesses and financial institutions.
Prior to joining E3G, Daniele worked for the climate team of the UN Global Compact, dividing his time between assessing corporate transition pathways of multinational energy companies, assisting the Think Lab on Just Transition, and facilitating the workstream of the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Daniele holds a Double Degree MA in International Relations between the University of Kent and the Higher School of Economics Moscow, where he specialised in energy relations between the EU and Russia during the climate transition.
In his free time, Daniele enjoys spending hours cooking, gardening, exploring outdoor activities in the Belgian countryside, and reading books.

Prior to joining E3G, Daniele worked for the climate team of the UN Global Compact, dividing his time between assessing corporate transition pathways of multinational energy companies, assisting the Think Lab on Just Transition, and facilitating the workstream of the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Daniele holds a Double Degree MA in International Relations between the University of Kent and the Higher School of Economics Moscow, where he specialised in energy relations between the EU and Russia during the climate transition.
In his free time, Daniele enjoys spending hours cooking, gardening, exploring outdoor activities in the Belgian countryside, and reading books.

Before joining E3G Dido was Communications and PR Manager at Sam Talbot, a cultural communications consultancy. She has experience working with a variety of international organisations including museums, galleries and cultural events.
Dido studied History at the University of Edinburgh and is currently studying an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation at LSE. In her free time she is involved with organising sessions at Hackney Foodbank. She also enjoys cycling, running and escaping London when possible.

Elina is a Policy Advisor in E3G's Clean Economy programme. She focuses on green industrial policy and the decarbonisation of industry.
Elina's work includes research, as well as working with NGOs, industry and policymakers to better align EU industrial policy with the green transition.
Prior to joining E3G, Elina worked in a consultancy in Brussels, advising clients in energy-intensive sectors on EU sustainability and climate policies. She has also previously worked on EU trade and investment policy at CAN Europe and in the Trade and Economic Affairs team at the EU Delegation to India.
Elina holds an LLM in International Law from the University of Cambridge and has also completed an MA in Politics and International Relations and an LLB in Global Law. In her free time, she enjoys running and reading.

Emilie conducts research at the nexus of trade and climate. She engages with NGO partners, industrial stakeholders and policymakers on better aligning trade and climate policies.
Before joining E3G, Emilie worked as a Research Assistant at the Center on Inclusive Trade and Development in Washington D.C., where she remains an affiliated researcher. She was previously a fellow at the Institute of International Economic Law and a student lecturer at Maastricht University. Emilie has also completed internships at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the New Markets Lab in Washington D.C., and Afore Consulting in Brussels.
Emilie is Belgian and Dutch and she has lived in Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the United States. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places and spending time with her cats.
