Caroline DiBella began working in the financial services industry in 2000 as an Assistant to a Financial Advisor in Glens Falls. In 2005, Caroline joined forces with Conor Boyd and has supported him throughout the past 15 years. Caroline is Thoroughbred Advisor's go-to person for anything and everything client process related. She plays an important role in keeping all of the behind the scenes mechanisms running seamlessly. Caroline is one of the main points of contact for Thoroughbred Advisors' clients. She facilitates the scheduling of meetings with Conor and helps to keep the processes and paperwork moving. For our Financial Representatives, and Advisors, Caroline plays a large role in welcoming them to the team, and it many cases, into the industry. She trains them on the correct way to process client paperwork and maintain accurate client files. Caroline has an amazing amount of in-depth knowledge on the inner workings of our industry and is our trusted and celebrated resource. In addition to her career with Thoroughbred Advisors, Caroline is a life-long native to the Glens Falls/ Lake George area. She has been blessed with an amazing 30+ year marriage to her high school sweetheart, they have been together for over 40 years! Together they have raised two amazing children, a daughter and a son. In 2017, their family grew to include an awesome son-in-law who fits right in. In August 2019, Caroline received the most prestigious promotion from Mom to Gramma, by the addition of her most precious grandson. As a family, the DiBella's love life on Lake George and are blessed to call it home. Growing up, the DiBella children were heavily involved in activities on the lake, including water skiing, wakeboarding, boating and snowmobiling. Together with her husband, and their two Labradors, Caroline enjoys nightly boat rides in their 1964 wooden boat, that they spent the past few years fully restoring.

Conor Boyd - CEO

Conor Boyd is the Managing Partner at Thoroughbred Advisors, a Financial Services Firm with offices in Latham and Queensbury NY. With over a decade of experience as a Financial Advisor, and later Managing Director at Northwestern Mutual, Conor founded Thoroughbred Advisors in 2014.  Thoroughbred Advisors is known for delivering a high quality of service, supported by innovative technology, and a top-notch customer experience to an existing and growing clientele. A consistent experience is delivered to clients through Thoroughbred Advisors' Financial Planning Process.  In May of 2015, Conor affiliated with National Life Insurance Company and Equity Services, inc.(ESI). He was attracted to the quality of leadership, product innovation, and opportunity to grow a significant operation with the backing of a legacy mutual company. Conor has achieved Chairman's Club level production every year he has been affiliated with the company, in addition to placing in the top 20 with ESI. He has accomplished this while recruiting over 25 advisors and representatives into the affiliated channel with National Life Insurance Company. In 2019, 11 of Conor's advisors qualified for President's Club. Conor was born in Upstate NY and is a graduate of Siena College, where he played Division I Football and Lacrosse. He has a beautiful wife Lisa, and three young children Brooklyn, Easton and Taylor. When he is not working, you will find Conor and his young family exploring the Adirondacks and enjoying their home on Lake George. In 2018, Conor was honored as one of The Albany Business Review's 40 Under 40, this award is reserved for a select group who demonstrate business acumen, leadership skills and community involvement. Since 2015, Conor has served on the Board for Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth, which is New York's leading child welfare organization founded in 1886.

Courtney Schingledecker

Courtney Schingledecker joined Thoroughbred Advisors in May of 2015 as the Director of Selection and Development. In this role, she is utilizing her recruiting background to build a team of financial and insurance professionals in the Capital Region. Courtney came to Thoroughbred Advisors after being introduced to Managing Partner, Conor Boyd, by one of her previous supervisors. At the time, Courtney was working as an in-house Technical Recruiter for a bustling IT company in Clifton Park and Conor was in the market for someone to join him in taking Thoroughbred Advisors to the next level. While she enjoyed and was successful in her role with the IT company, Courtney was inspired by Conor's vision and could not turn down the opportunity to help grow Thoroughbred Advisors. Courtney earned her bachelor's degree from Le Moyne College in May 2011, with a dual major in Human Resources Management and Management and Leadership. She has been a member of Capital Region Human Resource Association since 2013. With a passion for connecting people and reducing our local unemployment rate, Courtney is the Chair of the Workforce Readiness Committee. She is responsible for organizing the committee to attend events throughout the year where they support job seekers in our area. Combining her positive attitude and optimistic outlook, Courtney is driven to succeed through empowering others to reach their full potential. Courtney joined the Capital Region Chamber's Young Professionals Network's Executive Mentorship Committee in 2016. As a Mentorship Ambassador and member of this committee, Courtney and her peers have the mission to strengthen the Capital Region workforce through pairing young professionals with experienced and successful individuals in our community. The program offers an opportunity for personal and professional development, growth, fulfilment, and empowerment. As a Mentorship Ambassador Courtney provides guidance and support throughout the program to ensure a rewarding and meaningful experience. With a lifelong involvement and passion for cheerleading, Courtney was excited to join the NYS Cheer Judges Association, Section II Executive Board in 2016. In her role as NYS Certified Judge and Section II Secretary, Courtney enjoys employing her technical knowledge of the sport to officiate high school cheerleading competitions throughout New York state.

At Thoroughbred Advisors, May develops and executes inbound and outbound marketing strategies for the company that are in line with company objectives. Including but not limited to, content creation, paid search campaigns, event management, recruiting needs, building strategic relationships with key local agencies and vendors. Aside from work, May likes getting involved with local organizations like Big Brother Big Sister. A non-profit organization whose goal is to help all children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with volunteer mentors. As a big sister, May helps her little sister see what the world can offer, and realize her potential. May Ward is the Marketing Manager at Thoroughbred Advisors. She attained a Bachelor's degree from Siena College with a focus in Digital Marketing and Communications, and Strategic Human Resource Development. Prior to joining the Thoroughbred team, she worked for a Federal Credit Union as a Marketing Assistant and at top digital marketing agency as a Marketing Analyst and Project Coordinator. Although she specializes in digital marketing, her passion is to help small businesses and individuals grow to their fullest potential in any way that she can. She knew Thoroughbred Advisors would allow her to do just that.
