alessandro di lullo - Founder

Alessandro is a Co-Founder of SuperCharger Ventures, helping great entrepreneurs change the way education works. Currently teaching the first Fintech & Entrepreneurial Finance course at EDHEC Business School, he holds a PhD from the University of Hong Kong and is a Fellow at the Asian Institute of International Financial Law, working in the areas of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) and Monetary Policy. Alessandro's previous roles include Director of Academia & Entrepreneurship at CFTE, a world-renowned online education platform that works with governments and financial institutions to upskill professionals in Fintech and Artificial Intelligence. He has worked in Europe, MENA and APAC.

Angel Chia - CEO, Founder

Angel is an experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of building up new business in the financial industry. Her experience in the financial industry ranges from securities dealing to asset management, in Taipei, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore. After stints at Citigroup, ABN Amro and BNP Paribas, Angel joined Shenwan Hongyuan (Hong Kong) Limited,one of the earliest China securities institutions developed in HK, as Regional Distribution Director for their investment fund products. In late 2010, she helped the company to establish its subsidiary - Shenwan Hongyuan Singapore Pte Ltd, as Chief Executive Officer of the subsidiary. She was also appointed the role of Managing Director for institutional equity sales, both in Hong Kong & Singapore. Recognized for her outstanding capabilities to build up new business, she was appointed Assistant General Manager of Shenwan Hongyun (Hong Kong) Limited to take primary charge over its asset management business. After spending 10 years in various management roles in securities brokerage and asset management at Shenwan Hongyuan, Angel joined SingAlliance (Hong Kong) Limited in 2020, as CEO of the company. Most recently, Angel founded NexGenerator Family Office, a Family Office Accelerator focused on working with Family Next-Gens to equip them with the necessary knowledge and tools to be a well-informed principal of their own Single Family Office. Angel holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Anna Stephenson

Anna is a seasoned financial services professional with a richly diverse functional background, including Management Consulting, Technology, Operations, Relationship Management, Risk Management and COO responsibilities. Anna's career experience has spanned the Lloyd's of London insurance market, the Equity Derivatives business and the full suite of Transaction Banking products, and has taken her to London, New York, Toronto, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Significant roles include Co-Founder & COO of SinoPac Solutions and Services Ltd (Hong Kong), COO and Deputy President of NikkoCiti Trust Bank (Tokyo), Regional Head of Operational Risk Management (Hong Kong) and Regional Head of GTS Client Delivery (Hong Kong). Anna has an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and has been Co-Chair of Women in Finance Asia, Hong Kong and a previous President of the Association for Women in Finance in Tokyo. She is a popular public speaker and panel moderator, for both diversity-related and industry-related events.

Carolyn Butler

Prior to joining International Fiduciaries Limited as Managing Director, she was Director & CEO of The Hong Kong Trust Company, a trust, investment and fiduciary services company. Carolyn was CEO of The Henlyn Group Ltd, a consultancy company she founded which specializes in advice on business development, compliance services, investment structuring and financial structuring. Prior to this, she was Managing Director of AIA Pension and Trustee Company responsible for development of pension and related asset management products in the Asian region. Carolyn is a past Chairman of the Hong Kong Trustees' Association, continues on the executive committee and is Chair of the education committee. She is a fellow of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute and has been a Responsible Office with the HK Securities and Futures Commission. She lectures at the HK University and HKSI on trustee/director duties and is an MPFA accredited independent director. She has an MBA and a Masters of Business Law.

James Quinn - CEO

James Quinn is the Managing Partner of Q9, a full-service digital asset platform serving private wealth individuals, family offices and corporates. James is a seasoned leader and entrepreneur having led financial services businesses and new ventures across multiple asset classes in Asia, North and South America. He has almost 25 years of experience in capital markets with a focus on client service, trading and risk management. Before joining Q9, James was Head of Markets at Kenetic Capital, a crypto and blockchain focused firm in Hong Kong, and previously served as Managing Director at Deutsche Bank in equity derivatives, leading their index trading business across APAC. He has also held senior positions at Credit Suisse, and The MTI Company. James holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in analytical finance, statistics and economics.

Kenny Ho

Kenny has been in the banking industry for over 25 years, the last 13 of which he was in private wealth management. He is recognized as one of the forefathers of wealth management's open-architecture business model. In 2020, he was selected by an independent panel of industry veterans as the winner of the "Outstanding Individual" in wealth management at the Fifth annual Wealthbriefing Asia Greater China Awards. Prior to Carret Private, Kenny was with Julius Baer where he was one of the core regional executive management members to establish the Asian franchise in 2006 and grew it from infancy to become one of the top private banks in Asia. He held various leadership positions at Julius Baer, including Deputy Global Head of Investment Solutions Group, Head of Investment Solution Group for Asia Pacific, member of the Asia Executive Board, and a member of the Bank's Investment Committee. As Head of Investment Solutions Group Asia Pacific, he managed all of the advisory, discretionary, asset management along with its wealth planning franchises. Prior to Julius Baer, Kenny was on the regional executive committee and the Head of Products for Credit Suisse Hong Kong. He began his career as an Investment Banker at Salomon Brothers where he worked for almost a decade. Previous to that, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. Inc. Kenny, who earned his Master's Degree of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, is an active participant in the Asian business community and sits on the Board of Directors for numerous companies. He is also a member of the Governor's Advisory Board for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Steve Bernstein

Steve is currently Managing Director of Lone Star Funds based in Hong Kong. Prior to Lonestar, he co-founded and was Chief Executive Officer of SinoPac Solutions and Services based in Hong Kong. Previously, he was CEO of Oppenheimer Investments Asia managing all Asian investment banking activities based in Hong Kong. He has had extensive experience in Asia since 1983 and spent five years in Japan during his 23-year career at Citigroup. He started his career in the International Fixed Income Sales division at Salomon Brothers in New York. In 1994, he moved to Tokyo to manage Fixed Income Sales and Trading in Asia and served as Chief Administrative Officer of the joint venture Nikko Salomon Smith Barney. Returning to the U.S. in 1999 as senior staff to the Chairman and CEO of Salomon Smith Barney, he worked on planning and strategy for the Corporate and Investment Bank, integrating acquisitions such as Schroeders PLC and overseeing disaster planning and business continuity in the wake of the September 11 attacks. From 2003 to 2005, he was tapped to run Global Securities Services for Citigroup's Corporate and Investment bank. Steve holds a BSBA from Boston University.
