Adam Abensohn is an accomplished trial lawyer, and was named AmLaw's "Litigator of the Week" after prevailing at trial against Citibank in a high profile matter in 2021. Mr. Abensohn has also successfully defended a major cosmetics manufacturer in multiple suits alleging asbestos contamination in cosmetic talcum powder, with victories at trial and on appeal. He has also successfully litigated high stakes claims against the major Wall Street Banks in connection with the 2008 financial crisis. Brianne Straka is a co-managing partner in Quinn Emanuel's Chicago office. Debra Bernstein is the Managing Partner of Quinn Emanuel's Atlanta office. Debra is a trial lawyer with a national commercial litigation practice with an emphasis on antitrust matters and class actions. Trevor Soames is Managing Partner of the Brussels office, practising EU competition and regulatory law for more than 30 years. He has been a resident, living and working in Brussels since 1993. Educated at Cambridge University. Qualified as a Barrister (Bencher of the Middle Temple), a Solicitor-Advocate and since 2016 also a Belgian Avocat. As a citizen of the Kingdom of Belgium a member state of the EU, Trevor will remain an Avocat after the end of the transitional arrangements under the UK/EU Withdrawal Agreement on 1 January 2021, guaranteeing essential legal privilege as well as advocacy rights before the EU Courts.
He was Co-Chair of Howrey's worldwide antitrust practice and founder of its highly successful Brussels office, which ranked as one of only four Brussels Elite practices by Global Competition Review in 2009 and 2010. After leaving Howrey, Trevor was a partner of Shearman & Sterling until joining Quinn Emanuel as a partner in December 2016.
