My proofreading career began when I completed the General Proofreading: Theory and Practice Course through Proofread Anywhere. After completing the course, I began volunteering with Distributed Proofreaders and Project Gutenberg. As a result, I gained valuable experience while converting public domain books to e-book format... I continue to study many grammar books, including The best punctuation book, period by June Casagrande; The Grammar Bible by Michael Strumpf and Adriel Douglas; and The Only Grammar Book You'll Ever Need by Susan Thurman. At the same time, I keep up to date on available lectures through The Great Courses Plus (English Grammar Bootcamp by Dr. Anne Curzan is a favorite of mine) and check in with the Grammar Girl podcast by Mignon Fogarty.
