Adrian joined Standard Chartered on 3 May 2022 and became Group Company Secretary on 5 May 2022. He is a lawyer, having qualified in 1997.
Adrian was previously General Counsel for Vivo Energy PLC, a FTSE-250 pan-African fuel retailer, where he was responsible for the: Company Secretarial, Governance, Ethics, Compliance and Forensic Investigations functions and was a member of the group's Executive Committee.
After working in private practice at international law firms Hogan Lovells and Clifford Chance, Adrian served as General Counsel and Company Secretary at IQSA Group (a Goldman Sachs private equity business); Company Secretary at Barclays Bank UK PLC, General Counsel and Company Secretary of the FTSE 100 company, Land Securities Group PLC, where he was a member of the Group's Executive Committee and Head of Legal at SABMiller Europe.

Andy was Finance Director at East Midlands Electricity PLC prior to joining Vodafone in 1999 as Financial Director for Vodafone Limited, the UK operating company. Andy was later appointed Financial Director for Vodafone's Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and later the Chief Financial Officer of Verizon Wireless in the US. He was a member of the Board of Representatives of the Verizon Wireless Partnership. Andy was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Group PLC in 2005, a position he held for nine years. In 2013, he joined Marks and Spencer Group PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director, becoming its Senior Independent Director in 2018 until stepping down from the Group on 31 December 2022. As Group Chief Financial Officer at Standard Chartered, Andy is responsible for the Finance, Treasury, Corporate Development, Strategy, Investor Relations, Property and Supply Chain Management functions.

Ben was appointed Standard Chartered's Chief Executive Officer for Asia in January 2021. He sits on the Group's Management Team and is the Chairman of both Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited and Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited.
Ben joined Standard Chartered in 1992 and has held a number of senior management positions spanning corporate, commercial and retail banking. Prior to the current role, he was Regional CEO for Greater China & North Asia, and CEO of Retail Banking, and Wealth Management business globally. He is based in Hong Kong and has international banking experience in the United Kingdom and in Canada.
Ben is a member of the Hong Kong Chief Executive's Council of Advisers, Exchange Fund Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited's Board of Directors and the General Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. He is an economic advisor at the International Consultative Conference on the Future Economic Development of Guangdong Province, mainland China. He was previously the chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Banks, a member of the Financial Services Development Council, a board member of the Hong Kong Airport Authority and the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, and a Council Member of the University of Hong Kong.

Carlson was appointed an independent non-executive director of Standard Chartered PLC in February 2019.
Carlson joined KPMG UK in 1979, becoming an Audit partner of the Hong Kong firm in 1989. He was elected chairman of KPMG China and Hong Kong in 2007, before becoming Asia Pacific chairman and a member of the global board and global executive team in 2009. He spent over 30 years at KPMG and was actively involved in the work of the securities and futures markets, serving as a member of the Main Board and Growth Enterprise Market Listing Committee of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong from 2002 to 2008 (chair from 2006 to 2008). After retiring from KPMG in 2011, he was appointed a non-executive director of the Securities and Futures Commission, becoming its chair in 2012 until he stepped down in October 2018. He oversaw a number of major policy initiatives during his term as the chair including the introduction of the Hong Kong and Shanghai/Shenzhen Stock connect schemes and the mutual recognition of funds between the mainland and Hong Kong. From 2017 until July 2020, Carlson was appointed as a non-executive director of the Hong Kong International Airport Authority. He was a member of the Hong Kong Human Resource Planning Commission from April 2020 until December 2022 and Chair of the Hong Kong University Grants Committee from January 2016 until he stepped down in December 2022.
Carlson is an independent non-executive director of MTR Corporation Limited, Chairman of its Audit & Risk Committee and a member of its Finance and Investment Committee. He is on the Board of Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited, the Board of Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Limited and sits on various Hong Kong SAR government bodies. He is also an observer on behalf of the Hong Kong Government for Cathay Pacific Airways Limited.
Carmen is the Minos A. Zombanakis Professor of the International Financial System at Harvard Kenney School. She is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank Group.

He is an Associate Professor in Shariah at the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance, International Islamic University Malaysia. He is currently the President of the Association of Shariah Advisors in Islamic Finance (ASAS). He serves as a Shariah Advisor and Shariah Consultant to several international and local financial institutions, government bodies and corporations.

Dr Mohamed Ali Elgari holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California. He is also a Professor of Islamic Economics and the Director of the Centre for Research in Islamic Economics at King Abdul Aziz University in Saudi Arabia. Dr Elgari is also an expert at the Islamic Jurisprudence Academy (OIC), Jeddah and has published several articles and books on Islamic Finance. Sheikh Nizam Yaquby was educated in the classical Shariah sciences in his native Bahrain and in Makkah. He received his Bachelors in Economics and Comparative Religion from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Since 1976, Sheikh Yaquby has taught Tafsir, Hadith and Fiqh in Bahrain. He is a Shariah Advisor to several international and local financial institutions worldwide. He is also the author of several articles and publications on Islamic Finance.
