THE FLEET - Key Persons
Adam is one of our Senior Care Assistants. Adam works in care because he believes that everybody deserves to live a happy and dignified life in the way they see fit even if they need help to achieve it. "Regarding my work, I am passionate about person-centred care which I believe is the most important segment of our numerous duties. If the passionate section is more about my personal life, I am most passionate about educating people in my own way about the importance of history and human nature through the lens of history.
Alison started working at The Fleet 2 years and 5 months ago, has been working in care since 2005 and hasn't looked back. "I think it's a pleasure to give back to the residents I care for, our residents are lovely and make each day worthwhile. I horse ride on my days off and I like to drive. I care for my mum and my daughter whose disabled with arthritis, sometimes it's hard but I wouldn't want it any other way. I work with some of the best people and it always feels like a family."
Bradley has been working in care for 10 years and he absolutely loves what he does and loves to care for people at our care home. "At The Fleet I'm seen across all the floors as a Senior Care Assistant in recent weeks, I have started a new role helping with clinical administration work.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my wife Kelly and family also my dog Benji who is also a part of the pet group at The Fleet. I'm in all different types of music but I'm a huge Elvis Presley fan I've been to Graceland twice".
Damon is the Home Manager here at The Fleet. Damon started his working career in sales/account management working in different sectors when he got to a point where he felt he needed to give back to the community, so he began working for the NHS, supporting people with learning disabilities for almost 6 years.
Damon started working in care homes in 2014, which is when he first became a Registered Manager and has worked for Bupa, Gracewell Healthcare and Brighterkind. Damon has a strong history of turning homes around, engaging staff teams, initiating change and ensuring residents live a meaningful life.
Kimberley is our Activities Coordinator. "I work in health care because I simply love to help others, I am passionate about dementia and improving individuals well-being. I have keen interests in arts & crafts and a huge lover of music. I am often singing (and dancing) around The Fleet". Kimberley also enjoys photography and capturing special moments on camera. She is really keen on building links within the local community and loves organising fundraisers for various causes".
Lizzie is the administrator at the Fleet care home. "Working in the Fleet is the best job as I can help to make our residents have a happy and safe environment. I am passionate about our home watching it grow from our first day to where we are now. We have lovely residents who deserve to receive the best care we can offer. We all work together as one big family getting to know each and every resident is an honour and a pleasure. In my spare time, I like to spend it with family and friends and motorbiking across Europe".
Sue James is the Laundry Assistant who takes care of the laundry alongside her colleague Nick here at The Fleet. "I've only been here for a few months in this luxurious home. I have been made very welcome here and enjoy meeting all the lovely residents. In my spare time, I like to read, swim, and enjoy my husband's fabulous cooking".
